The cabin is set back behind trees and very sheltered from the wind with a deck/ garden. Please note the Lakeview photos are from the domain in front of the property. Scott's Beach is a short 5 minute walk East and or for the nimble you can access the lake by going directly down the bank. However, the bathroom was a tiny space with a sliding glass door - not very private. Also, the view isn't all it seems in the pictures. Granted, we were there in the rain, but the view it shows in the picture was unavailable to us. I'm not sure if the landscaping grew in or because of the fogginess we couldn't see, but the cabin was farther from the water than we thought it would be. ##### Carol B. Lake front, safe, next to a fantastic walking path, close to shopping, tucked in perfectly (privacy) so it feels like you are off the beaten path and away from the hustle of town. Excellent communication from the friendly and welcoming owner. This was my favorite spot we stayed in while in NZ. Property was at the end of the owner’s garden. Lack of privacy and kids play equipment straight out the window. The cottage was freezing cold in evening and morning and stifling in the afternoon. No way to pass time or cook the simplest meal. Sitting on deck you could hear everyone in house’s surrounding property and people out front above lake. Not for us sorry. ##### christine h. We staying 1 night and the accommodation was perfect for our needs.. Kaz was great with quick responses and all the information we need to make the check in process easy.
