The cottage has been carefully furnished to meet the needs of discerning traveler's seeking an alternative to hotel lodging. We have selected very fine art work along with hand crafted furniture to reflect the character and charm of the original art colony of Laguna. The bathroom and kitchen was completely renovated in order to upgrade the facilities and appliances to provide maximum comfort. Our guests especially enjoy the freedom of walking to virtually all the major attractions in and around Laguna Beach. When they return at the end of the day, they pass through the old wooden gate, walk down the steps into this remarkable garden setting. We guarantee you will love it here! Thus time we picked your green cottage for a slightly different point of view. Both are delightful. Although we’ve never cooked a full meal in your kitchen, it is well stocked with a full fridge, stove top, microwave and toaster oven. The kingsized bed is firm and very comfortable, great water pressure in the shower. We love all the windows and there is great air flow and light. I am always looking for more lamp light and the wonky blinds were a humorous challenge. It couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much. NOTE: Very steep stairs at entrance from parking down to courtyard. Cottages are older but well laid out inside. A bit of a hiccup with front door code but management sorted it quickly by text. Great water pressure in the 60's vintage bathroom. Ours had lovely back patio. TV has Roku in Guest Mode for automatic login credential deletion on check out. Our stay at the Manzanita Cottage was so nice! When you first pull up, everything is perfectly hidden until you go through the front gate. I loved how everything was so tucked in by bushes/trees. You definitely get a perfect amount of privacy. We stayed in the green cottage and it was so so so gorgeous inside. We did a lot of walking as the beach/stores were so close. Spaces are small, but for a short stay, it was delightful. Open beam ceilings and wood floors - we could hear the rain on the roof! We loved walking into town. Things are a bit shop worn - could use a coat of paint in some of the rooms, a few more plates and glasses. There is not a dishwasher, but has enough equipment to cook and bake. There is wide stairway to get from the parking area to the cottages, which did have handrails. It is a bit awkward at the top, but we did fine. There is also a lower gate that might work for those having trouble with stairs. Definately not ADA accessible. I know we were told about this before we booked. ##### Susan R. Location was about a 15 minute walk to “downtown.” Perfect for us to attend Pageant of the Masters. There is, however, some up hill walking which we enjoyed. Maybe not as nice as the photos, and a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. There was a communication problem between the owner and VRBO, and I had to contact the owner myself through the property web site to get entry details - otherwise would have arrived and not been able to get in. Definitely something that needs to be resolved for future guests. ##### Tom M. If anything, it was more charming than in the photos and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed lighting the gas fireplace in the evenings. Our cottage had a rather roomy private back patio with a propane grill and comfortable furniture. I appreciated that it was in a quiet neighborhood but was only about a 5 minute walk to the coast highway. While we weren't right on the ocean (there was a small ocean view from the bedroom), I'd definitely stay here again. ##### Todd F. Bedroom and living room fine, kitchen and bathroom a bit small but walk to town, outdoor space and ambiance excellent. The pictures on the VRBO website are very accurate. This property is as quaint as you'd expect from the photos. It's a beautiful place to stay. I felt like a Hobbit in the Shire!
