Near Beach, Marina & Town Centre OVERVIEW Charming south facing open plan ground floor apartment located in a quiet & peaceful residential area just outside the centre of Lagos but only a couple minutes by car to the historic town center, marina, beaches, supermarkets and restaurants or about 20-30 minutes if walking. Set in beautiful mature gardens with a lovely patio just a few steps away from the large swimming pool. Ideal for those wanting to enjoy all that Lagos has to offer in the summer. Peaceful for long stays in the quieter winter months. Perfect for families, friends, remote workers or couples sharing! CLEANING & SANITISATION The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before every check-in. Cleaning material and products will be available in the apartment for your convenience. Additional cleaning and change of sheets/towels will depend on length of stay. APARTMENT This is a large well kept apartment block with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Master Bedroom has 1 standard size double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a dining/living area. It is comfortably furnished and has all the necessary equipment for a holiday. Fast & reliable Fibre Optic internet throughout and cable TV international channels. The apartment is located in a mature and well maintained gated condominium of 24 privately owned apartments with beautiful landscaped gardens and private outdoor parking. POPULAR FOR LONG STAYS IN WINTER For self catering long stays (28 nights or more) from November to April. Included in the rate is cleaning and change of sheets/covers and towels every two weeks. If you wish to have additional cleaning this can be organised and extra charges will apply. The long stay rates are for 2 guests. MEET AND GREET Either José or Carla will meet guests on arrival and give tips on how to make the most of their stay in Lagos. Thereafter guests will be given their privacy and space to enjoy their holiday but are only a call or text message away if they need any assistance or information. CHECK IN from 16h00 and CHECK OUT by 10h00 GETTING AROUND The apartment is minutes away by car from the beaches, town centre, marina, and supermarket, railway station & bus depot. The apartment is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre and beaches. Downhill going into town and uphill going back to the apartment. If you're a walker then you could easily rent without a car if you wanted to just focus on experiencing and exploring Lagos. However, we recommend a car in order to explore the beautiful surrounding areas close to Lagos or further along the Algarve. For families with children, for hot summer months and those that don't like walking, we recommend car rental. Lagos is easy to reach from Faro or Lisbon airport with direct bus routes. ABOUT LAGOS One of the most popular towns in the Algarve, Lagos is a top holiday destination and has it all! From history to culture, beaches and climate to a lively, easygoing and friendly atmosphere all year round. Steeped in history it was from here that Henry the navigator set sail on his discoveries along with many other Portuguese explorers. A walk across the Marina footbridge will lead you into the heart of the old town where you will find a very quaint typical Portuguese town with narrow cobbled streets and many shops, bars and restaurants and entertainment. Here you can experience the raw authenticity of Portugal, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, tiled houses, the clear blue skies and the warm hospitable people. There are many places of interest to visit such as museums, churches, historical monuments and a mini-zoo for the children. Activities are endless in and around Lagos and include boat trips, dolphin tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, golf and much more. Lagos is also very popular for hiking and walking trips. CLIMATE The Algarve, situated on the extreme South of Portugal, offers gorgeous sandy beaches and glorious sunshine nearly all year-round. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August. Agreable impression d'espace pour cet appartement spacieux ( 2 grandes chambres et 2 belles salles de bain/douche) avec cet acces direct vers l'exterieur . Cuisine bien equipee . Résidence soignée et de taille raisonnable ( rez 2 etages ) , à l'ecart du bruit . Zone tres calme . Les hôtes sont très disponibles, accueillants et aimables. La location était très propre et bien entretenue. Le seul bémol pour nous est au sujet du chauffage. C’est une location moins appropriée pour les mois d’hiver. Il n’y a pas de chauffage central donc nous devons utiliser des chauffages d’appoint, très consommateurs d’énergie ce qui représente des frais beaucoup plus élevés que prévus. Mais nous avons passé quand même un très beau séjour et avons apprécié la location. ##### Diane L. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil de mr et toutes ses explications qui nous ont été très utiles. Ses explications concernant la location sont très complètes et que dire des bons petits tuyaux concernant les restos, les plages, ... . L'emplacement est réellement à 3 minutes du centre de Lagos via le parking gratuit et à moins de 5 minutes de la grande plage. Je trouve en plus que cette location dispose du meilleur emplacement dans le condominium par rapport au jardin, parking et piscine. ##### Ulrich F. Belle piscine utilisable par tous. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Petit bémol concernant la literie de la chambre parent (sommier=planche de bois et matelas peu confortable). Bei Problemen und/oder Fragen reicht eine kurze WhatsApp-Nachricht und Carla macht alles möglich.Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und bietet alles was man braucht. Von Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, über Pizzaschneider u.s.w. ist alles vorhanden.Wir waren 16 Tage dort und hatten nach einer Woche sogar eine Zwischenreinigung, mit neuen Handtüchern und Bettwäsche.Der Pool und die Terrasse sind sauber und haben uns und unseren zwei Kindern schöne Stunden beschert.Trotz Hochsaison war es immer leer am Pool, fast privat.Wir kommen definitiv wieder. ##### Martin A. Carla and Jose are very friendly, and prepared everything for us and our 1 year old son. We enjoyed the garden, the pool, the area and the house itself. With a convenient kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortable sofas and couch, we had everything we needed. The only minus for us was that the beds are quite firm, which we aren’t used to.
