Shops, cafes and the supermarket are all in walking distance from the apartment. Enjoy the beautiful view from the balcony in the morning after a early morning surf session or quick jump in one of the pools on the property. Unwind by taking a quiet stroll along the beach or the breathtaking cliffs of Luz nearby. This 1st floor apartment offers a 1 bedroom (1 double), a modern bathroom with toilet and a bath, a private balcony, fully equipped kitchen. In the compound where the apartment is located, there are several outdoor swimming pools at your disposal as well as an indoor one. Please read it carefully before your arrival and let us know if you need anything or have any questions. \## Neighborhood Praia da Luz is a small resort town located on the incredible Algarve coastline 10km west of Lagos. Praia da Luz or just Luz, was originally a small fishing village on the edge of sandy bay surrounded by cliffs. This sandy bay sheltered by cliffs means it’s a perfect family beach destination. Although the town is now more of a holiday resort it still retains some of the original features from its historical past. The bigger town Lagos is less than 10 minutes' drive away and in the other direction, you will find many small beach towns and breathtaking beaches. Perfect for family, beach and watersport (surf) trips. Lagos is the perfect holiday destination with a lively historical center full of shops, (super)markets, a marina, bars and restaurants. It is known for its breathtaking cliffs and we highly recommend a boat, kayak or SUP tour to see them from the water. The town has a picturesque historical center, great food and friendly people. As it is located on the coast you can enjoy several watersports activities such as surfing and sailing. There are many activities for all ages and preferences in this area. \## Transit You can reach Lagos in about one hour by car from Faro Airport and car rental is available in the parking lot of the airport. By train it will take about 2,5 to 3 hours. Lagos has a train station (for travel towards Faro, Lisbon and Porto) and a bus station (for buses towards the west-side of the south coast) but do note that buses and trains only go a few times per day. You can easily get around without a car and there are plenty of taxis and Ubers available, but if you really want to explore the area surrounding Lagos, a (rental) car will make your life a whole lot easier. Free public parking nearby. Parking in front of the apartment is not always possible in summer, but there will be plenty of space in the surrounding streets. \## Notes ➤ You can pick up the apartment key from 4:00 PM at the Estrela da Luz resort reception. ➤ Check-out time: before 10am ℹ SEF REQUIREMENTS. It was exactly as described, spacious, beautiful view, no issues, easy parking, etc. It was a great central area to do local trips. Would 100 percent come back. I gave the check in process a 4 because the property manager forgot to send our information to the reception so they had no idea we were coming. It was fixed fairly quickly though so not too many struggles. As for the apartment, it had everything we needed. My two suggestions to elevate it would be to provide some large plastic cups so we can sit with drinks down by the pool (there weren’t any that we could see), and to provide a few beach towels that guests can use. We did pay for the use of towels at the front desk in the end but it would have been good to know in advance. Sorry, one last thing, maybe some ice cube trays? We bought ice so manageable, though. Overall, an excellent place!
