The villa can be rented using 3 or 4 bedrooms depending upon the number of guests - 3 bedrooms for 6 people and 4 bedrooms for upto 8 people. There is a small additional fee for use of the 4th bedroom. Our modern, very comfortably furnished semi-detached villa with magnificent 180°sea views is set in the heart of the village of Praia da Luz, only 80m from the beach. Its central, yet quiet location is perfect for those who want a relaxing self-catering holiday. The house is relatively unique in that it is one of the few that is in the heart of the village and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms. It has recently been extensively refurbished including the installation of a new kitchen with wine fridge, water filter (for drinking), a pellet burner, new bathrooms, new floor tiling throughout, new windows and electric shutters throughout. The bedrooms have been insulated and air conditioning installed in three of the bedrooms. There is a small fourth bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Wifi is included and speakers in the ceiling have recently been installed for use with your own music such as spotify etc. Beach towels are also included in addition to bathroom towels. The safe beach offers a range of water sports in the Summer months and the area boasts a number of nearby golf courses. The house is three storey with the entrance on the first floor where there are two bedrooms - one double room (king size bed) and one twin bedded room (both have sea views and air conditioning). On this floor, there is also a bathroom and small storage room. Leading off the hall, there are two marble staircases, one leads down to the ground floor where the master bedroom (king size bed) and large en-suite walk-in shower room are situated and this also has air conditioning . Opposite the master bedroom is a recently converted room with a daybed which converts to a single bed and which also pulls out to create a double bed - this room is ideally suited to children but will also accommodate adults. This room also has a small en-suite bathroom. Both main bathrooms benefit from heated towel rails. There is a main door at ground floor level which leads into the walled garden. Patio doors from the downstairs bedrooms also open onto the garden which benefits from sunshine all day long. The garden has a secure gate, sun loungers and BBQ area. The other staircase from the hall leads up to the open plan living accommodation. With large glass windows, this area is light and bright and has a well equipped kitchen. The large wrap around balcony offers the perfect setting for alfresco dining with fabulous 180° sea views. Shade is provided by a large, retractable sun canopy. Guests also enjoy membership of the Luz Bay Hotel and its facilities (April- October) which is in close proximity to the house. This includes six passes for the adult, family and toddler swimming pools (additional passes can be purchased from the hotel on a daily basis). There are also facilities such as sauna, massage and Turkish baths available (bookable locally). Guests are also able to hire the tennis courts of the Jonathan Markson Tennis Academy with three astro tennis courts - rackets and balls can also be hired and coaching can also be arranged. In 2021, padel courts were created in the village - a three minute walk from the house - courts and equipment can be hired directly at the Ocean Padel Club. There are plenty of water sports activities on the beach (seasonal) and numerous golf courses in close proximity, including Penina, Palmares, Parque da Floresta, Espiche and Boavista. Free Wi-Fi and multi-channel TV are provided. There are opportunities to book personal training or yoga sessions or group fitness classes/bootcamps - details can be provided upon request. The house can be rented for up to six people using three bedrooms and two bathrooms or for up to eight people using four bedrooms and three bathrooms (for a small additional fee). The villa was a perfect location - very close to the beautiful beach and village centre. Three good double rooms, not huge but comfortable, wonderful open plan kitchen/living/dining area with stunning balcony and sea views. We used all 4 rooms and the 4th was small (as advertised). Our only criticism would be the need to share a bathroom or use the tiny 4th bedroom as it has the other en-suite. Any issues (the door keys were tricky to use) were dealt with very fast by the management team. We did not give 5 stars for the briefing/welcome as the initial emails never arrived and we had to chase up. The place is 2 minute walk to the promenade and our favourite restaurant Forteza, to watch a sunset and delectable food. Just making clear that if you book for 6 people it becomes a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, the fourth bedroom is locked. I found this not prominently stated on the site. First of all, great communication from host from start to finish. The property is in a great location in Luz. Well appointed and maintained. We were met by a representative and she explained all the details. The home is super clean, nice size rooms and killer views of the beach, the beach is 3 minutes away, with nice restaurants and shops. Lagos is 15 minutes away and it’s also a quaint old town. It's right next to the beach and in between two areas of restaurants. The 3 primary bedrooms are on different floors. The top floor, with kitchen, living room, and balcony, has an amazing view of the ocean. (Lots of stairs if that is a factor for your group.) On our first day, Hope from the management company visited and answered questions and made herself available for anything we needed. I also visited the pool area of the Luz Bay Hotel which was easy to walk to and access. We appreciated the included amenities such as beach towels, parking space, laundry machine, and nespresso machine. Our stay was in October so there was a bit of "end of season" feel -- the home could use a deep cleaning. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed staying here! Thank you! ##### Kate D. It has a great location with great views, is very well appointed and furnished. We were not prepared for its townhouse proportions - very steep staircases and small rooms . It had an ‘end of season’ feel as there were broken items ( e.g wall mirror which somebody had tried to fix with sellotape), missing key items ( e.g tumblers) and worn out consumables ( e.g we replaced the washing up brush and clothes pegs). It is a house for no more than 6 adults and 2 children. The pull out double bed doesn’t give acceptable accommodation for 2 adults. ##### Sarah N. This residence is exactly as advertised, and when we visited in late April everything in the area was uncrowded and serene, although most restaurants (and there are many of high quality) seemed busy. The owner is very responsive and helpful, and has done extensive work to ensure her home is contemporary, secure, comfortable and well functioning. It is a mystery to us why the town of Luz with its beautiful beach does not appear in more guidebooks. It is a dream place to stay, and very affordable. ##### James B. We booked for three bedrooms and did not use the fourth. The housekeeping company stopped by the morning after we arrived and went through the basics about the apartment and was very helpful in answering our questions. The book of information was extensive. Well stocked kitchen. Easy walk to restaurants (definitely go to Zazu!) and the market. The view from the balcony was beautiful.
