"The hotel is a credit to the owner in every respect. My wife and I were on holiday to sample various areas of Germany. All staff were most welcoming and helpful. We only had one evening meal there but it was outstanding, and we have eaten in many fine restaurants around the world. It was the first stop on our holiday and it could not have been better. "I was charged for the booking by Expedia but the hotel said the room was not paid for, so we assumed it was payment on arrival and paid the hotel. When we returned home, we found that Expedia had also charged us for the same stay. Furthermore the hotel did not provide us with an official receipt, that we can remember. As a result, we are having difficulty getting our duplicate payment refunded from Expedia. We are attempting to contact the hotel to obtain a copy of their receipt to prove to Expedia that we have paid the hotel, directly, in the hope to get our duplicate payment refunded."

"The hotel was amazing, great location, accessible to a bus line and amazing neighborhood grocery store, and local restaurants. The hotel was extremely clean, the breakfast was amazing with a variety of food options each day. I am vegetarian and the food was fresh. Most importantly all of the staff was remarkable and the cost was reasonable. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are in the Gießen area."
