Lindau, Old Town harbour, Bavaria, Germany 

Lindau is a historical town in Bavaria land of Germany on the eastern side of Lake Constance (Bodensee in German) near the borders of Austria and Switzerland. The coat of arms of Lindau town is a linden tree, referring to the supposed origin of the town's name (Linde means linden tree in German).

Lindau was established in 1275 century as one of the Imperial Free Cities. Historically, the trading route from Nuremberg to Italy passed through Lindau; fishery has also played a big role in the economy of the city and in the 19th century, Lindau was an important location for textile industries. Tourism (including restaurants and accommodation) and industrial production are the main industries in contemporary Lindau.

The historical Old town was built on a small island with a harbour and you can enjoy this picturesque view from the lighthouse opposite the statue of Bavarian lion. « Die Wohnung liegt unter einer halben Stunde Fahrt von Lindau und Friedrichshafen in der Nähe eines Naturschutzgebiets. Sie selbst hat ein schön renoviertes Bad (leider ohne Fenster), der Rest wirkt auch schön, jedoch im "alten Stil". Es ist schön ruhig, gut geeignet zum Entspannen, aber trotzdem nicht allzu weit vom nächsten Supermarkt. Wir haben die Wohnung hauptsächlich mit dem Kamin beheizt, was mit etwas Erfahrung auch gut funktioniert. Leider war nicht alles Geschirr ganz sauber, es hat...

"Très bon rapport qualité prix. Chambre spacieuse et moderne. Petit déjeuner très bon. Le seul bémol c’est la personne de la réception du soir qui était un peu perdu (peu d’expérience ou d’envie, nous n’avons pas bien compris). Dans tous les cas nous avons passé un très bon sejour. "
