They stated no early check-in is allowed from this owner due to cleaning being done. We were staying in the rental for Stagecoach which made it near impossible to see most of Friday's show which is extremely frustrating. Then we enter the only to find sticky floors in the kitchen and master bath, when people took their shoes off the socks were black from walking on the floor which is absolutely disgusting! The home is dated and clearly not looked after properly. We could not access the house via the garage because the prior renters broke the garage door which meant we had to navigate a very steep driveway and steep uneven walk through the front door. They had a week to get the garage door fixed but choose not to with us only receiving a voicemail 3 day's prior. There were 4 of us staying at the rental, they gave us 3 bath towels that's it not something that most rentals do so not only were we short a towel we had no back up, we had to purchase a towel at the store. Spilled a small amount of water from a water bottle on the floor in the dining area and the paper towel came back black so gross, corners of rooms had visible dirt in them, master bath toilet seat was broken overall the house was dirty and dated. The house is very cute, clean, fully equipped. The master/bath is a little weird, but the showers are gorgeous. The beds are a little soft, so if you prefer a firmer mattress, just a heads up. The pool was beautiful; but I wished there was an option to heat it, because it was a little chilly! Overall, we really enjoyed this space. Great view of the mountains from the pretty backyard. Very dark within the home even with the lights on! No views from within the house. Only view is of the block wall surrounding the back yard. Only good think about this property that we can say is it is a quite neighborhood. ##### don w. Seems like this is probably a frequent rental so you can tell that it needs some good TLC. However, the homeowners did provide plenty of linens that were new and I found that quite lovely. The neighborhood is very quiet. The house was clean except of the glasses, silverware...but I clean it anyway when I stay in a rental house. Unfortunately one of the lounge chairs was damaged and I found a black hair in my bed that was really disgusting. The pool was dirty when we arrived probably because of the wind the day before, but after I requested a pool service the pool guy came right the next day early in the morning. Great customer service! The pool was cooled that was awesome and had a great size. Over all we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you! ##### Daniela K. Second bathroom needs a little maintenance. Light switch is faulty. Possibly a short, and toilet pipes “sing” after being flushed. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Enjoyable back yard with pool and seating area. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Only problems. Check in. Was incredibly unclear. Vrbo needs to change that for certain. Emails were super confusing do you check in in another location or do you check in online the emails I need to be reread and re-done so the people understand exactly what’s expected While the place is perfectly clean and comfortable and wonderful a few things Need to be addressed. One they need to let you know when the gardener and the pool guy are coming so that you’re not surprised. I asked Verbo did let me know about that and they said they called me back and they never did so I just had to wait for them to come to know when their schedule was. Some of the kitchen Tools need to be updated especially the knives. It was nice that they had spices and olive oil and a few other things to get you started so that was nice. The house was immaculate when we arrived and the check in process was contactless and easy. We were able to get groceries delivered from the nearby sprouts, and we were able to order amazing pizza from Enzo's. We were not bothered by the 100 degree heat because the pool was PERFECT. It was a lovely little getaway. Would highly recommend this place for a pandemic escape, but I have no idea how far it is from attractions in normal times since we just hid in our little walled fortress the whole time. ##### Carling M. The air quality in La Quinta was better and this house suited our family perfectly. Loved that there was a pool. I appreciate that the hosts take COVID cleaning precautions. That's definitely a deciding factor for us when choosing a vacation rental these days. ##### Julie M. Séjour de 2 nuits en septembre 2020 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Vanessa D. 29 juill. 2020 Points forts : Propreté #### COVID Getaway at Casa Chillon Overall, we loved our stay at this cute Spanish style home. The house was just as described and the pool was the main attraction. Check-in was through key code and easy peasy. I did get a little concerned during the week as my family and I were sunbathing and a gardner and pool guy walked in unannounced. They obviously had the good too, which gave me some concern. It could have been a different code, but I don't know for sure. My biggest issue with this experience was the communication by the property manager. I was given the name Parrish to contact and when I reached out to him a few days before and left multiple messages, he never responded. Being that this was my first trip since quarantining with my family, I was reconsidering whether we should still go. When I arrived, a different manager, Todd, sent me a message with the check in information. Thankfully, we didn't need anything during our stay, as you're pretty much on your own. Even after my stay, I reached out to the property manager to inquire about lost keys and still no response whatsoever. Aside from the poor communication, the actual stay at the property was fantastic. ##### Vanessa D.
