Such a cute little place to stay. It does say that there's AC but we couldn't figure out how to work it or turn it on. Luckily, it wasn't too hot on the days we stayed. If you come with small children, the bath drain doesn't shut but they state that online that it's shower only. It had a horrible musty odor that was beyond pungent. I opened windows and doors to help but didn't come close to helping "air" it out. We settled in found other things that as a renter you would want the rental company to know so future renters didn't have any problems. Burner not working in kitchen, drain stopper in bathroom not working(two year old son takes baths), bedroom door not latching, unable to connect to wifi. The biggest problem we had was the mouse droppings found in the kitchen utensil drawer and in the dish strainer under the sink and surrounding it. We were disgusted and an email was promptly set and no response was ever received. Needless to say we were not impressed and would not rebook. ##### Vicki K. The cottage had everything we needed, was located in the perfect place, and was so clean. We were able to walk into town but didn’t feel like the hustle and bustle was too close. Dec 12, 2018 #### Great Location in Downtown Madeline Island Library Street Cottage was the perfect location for us. Close to downtown and also close to the hiking trails near town. The cottage was clean, hardwood floors were well maintained. We also liked the deck on the front of the cottage to relax and have a glass of wine!
