Just a short 10-minute drive from the airport and about 20 minutes from downtown La Paz and the Malecón. There you’ll find restaurants, shops and the ocean. Recommended beaches are Coromuel Beach and Playa el Tesoro, and our recommended restaurants are Vrentino, Oliva al Mare, and Harker Board CO. Getting Around: The property is located about 9.2 km | 5.7 miles from the La Paz International Airport (LAP) and about 198 km | 123 mi from San Jose del Cabo International Airport (SJD). It’s a little off the beaten path from downtown La Paz. Many guests often rent a car as it’s easiest to get around. You’ll have parking at the property for up to 3 compact cars. You can also get around town by taxi. Other Things to Note: Before you book, please take a moment to review this info to ensure a great stay: \- We encourage all guests to use water and electricity mindfully, as these resources can sometimes be limited in the city. "Shops" in this area are pretty much nonexistent but there were several really good restaurants nearby. The road in and out of the property is not a fun experience and after a long trip getting there, it would have been nice to enter a comfortable space with the AC already on. Know that there is a traffic calming barrier along the busy road that makes it a challenge to get to the house without knowing before hand. Food, local markets and convenience stores within walking distance albeit along a busy road. A busy street food stand run by a small family makes excellent papas and carne. The house is a short drive to larger grocery stores, Malecon, sand dunes and other tourist type things. The only negative thing for me is that the water out front on the beach is not usable. The beach is great for walks either direction but the mud along the shore sinks knee deep and goes out for too far to access the water but I guess that's why there's a pool. We arrived and were able to enter the property with no problems. We had a little issue when we arrived but it was quickly resolved. The listing showed 3 king beds and it ended up being one king and 2 queens. The property manager/owner was very quick with getting back to me on this issue and was very nice and made things right for us. We loved being in front of the ocean with our own private pool. The house was the perfect size for our family and we enjoyed our stay. Even though we had a couple issues, they were quickly resolved and I would still give 5 stars.
