Rest peacefully in this relaxing, 2 bedroom cottage in the peaceful Windansea Beach village of La Jolla. This unique and welcoming cottage is about a mile from La Jolla Village which offers a superb shopping experience. It's very close to Bird Rock, La Jolla cove, and La Jolla Shores. It's a few miles from Pacific Beach and Sea World. The zoo is conveniently close as well. If you would rather see seals and sea lions in the wild, we have plenty of those within walking distance at La Jolla cove. You can snorkel at the cove with wild sea lions swimming around you. There's also a wonderful opportunity to swim with hundreds of little leopard sharks when they come to shallow water to breed. It's an amazing experience! There's always something fun to do in and around La Jolla's Windansea Beach neighborhood. This home is most suitable for infants and calm children age 5 and up. We don't allow running in the house or on the deck and, in general, we like to keep the noise level down for the neighbors. Pack n'play available. We'll consider families of up to 6 for brief stays in this home if we can chat first to ensure it's a great fit. Book instantly for a family of up to 4\. Due to there being only one bathroom off the main bedroom, you may wish to rent two or more of our adjacent cottages or one larger cottage if you have more than 4 or desire more privacy. Our humble, rustic cottage is not suited to people with allergies or people who expect a property without wear-and-tear. We want our rentals to be pet-friendly so we do not try to keep them perfect. We use non-toxic/humane pest control which sometimes takes longer to work. In a nutshell, wear and tear, a little fur/sand, and the occasional pest is included in the rental. Thank you for understanding. =) The following canines are not allowed on the property due to our insurance company (which does not make an exception for assistance animals): Akita, Cane Corso, Chow Chows, Dogo Argentino, Pit Bull, Presa Canario (Canary dog), Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and any wild canine or hybrid thereof. We welcome dogs that are well-behaved with reliable temperaments that are not of these breeds. No destructive or aggressive animals allowed. Pet fee $30/night/pet ($90 mininum). If your pet isn't used to traveling and staying in a new place please reach out to us about renting a crate and/or having a plan in place to be sure they are safe and comfortable. The communication with management company was very good, with prompt response. The unit is however not been updated and cleaning standards below expectations (i have sever allergy to dust and the fan above the bed had a thick layer of dust which we pointed out to the owner, but no action was taken while we were there).. however the most important issue was that the the listing didn’t mentioned that the house had NO heating nor cooling system. While a/c in California can be hard to find, not having a heating system should have been included in the listing. Not only it was not mentioned but no space heaters were provided. We had a very uncomfortable first night, the owner provided 2 very sm heaters the second day, but they hardly resolved the issue. I would not return. ##### Emanuela G. When we found the neighborhood Von's, the Taco Stand, and the D.G. Will's bookstore, we scratched any plans we had outside of La Jolla. The cottage was clean and the kitchen was well-appointed. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom was well designed. Ever since we started traveling with our dog, our options have been limited in terms of places to stay. So glad we found this one. Nikki was very responsive, energetic, and caring about our needs. The unit had everything we needed and was very nicely appointed and organized. The small backyard patio space (with beach gear and grill) and laundry (no issue sharing with other unit) were useful. Parking was never an issue while we were there. We were pleased as we came in, and had a great one week stay with our small dog in tow. ##### Julie M. Place was clean, laundry was a plus, and it had all the necessary supplies so we could make meals and relax during our time in California. There are some quirks—the laundry is outside, there is only a space heater to keep you warm at night, and the second bedroom's bed is actually just a couch you can pull apart into a couple of different configurations—but the incredible location and other amenities more or less make up for them. Highly recommended for 1-2 adults looking for convenient access to the beach! ##### Jonathan K. Our family had everything we needed and loved the little back patio. We spent most of our time out there listening to music and just reconnecting.
