It was an easy walk to the grocery store, the coastal walk, little shops, and art galleries. The beds were VERY comfortable. The shower was good. There was plenty of on-demand hot water and nice sundries (soap, shampoo, conditioner). The hot tub took a while to warm up, but once it did, it was a welcome feature and a nice size for 2 people. If it hadn't been foggy and cold, I think we would have spent a lot of our evenings on the backyard deck because it's a welcoming environment. We were in town for Thanksgiving with family in a nearby suburb. The kitchen had a great selection of cookware and utensils that enabled us to cook our assigned dish for a large crowd. The only downsides were dull knife blades - it took forever to chop veggies. The ambient and other lighting were great, making it easy for us to read and for our daughter to study. Note: This is a cottage - there's no central heating but there are heating/cooling units in the LR and both BRs. Once we figured those out via text help from AvantStay's crew, the temperature was comfortable. If you're staying there in the winter, I recommend having a sweater or sweatshirt on hand to be most comfortable while the units warm up. Also, street parking in front of the house was easy in the early AM and PM. I suspect people who work nearby during the day take up the spaces between 9-5, so sometimes you might have to park a block or two away. ##### Ann S.
