![Terrasse Dufferin is a terrace that wraps around the Château Frontenac in Quebec City towards Citadelle of Quebec, overlooking the St. Lawrence River.
he terrace consists of a wood plank walkway with gazebos and benches from Château Frontenac (and previous by Château Haldimand) to Citadelle of Quebec (access via a set of stairs).

On the west end of the terrace is a 150 metres (490 ft) ramp or Terrasse Dufferin Slides (c. 1898) used annually as a toboggan run during Quebec Winter Carnival or the Carnaval de Québec from late January to mid-February.

![When visiting downtown it's important to note that it isn't really high heel friendly. There are extremes in elevation which can make you winded if you're not physically fit. I won't lie, I wanted to die! Steps, steps and.... more steps! Reminded me a bit of Seattle, WA actually. "Beautiful park to walk to across the road. Old Quebec is good to walk to if you enjoy a good 10k+ walk. There is also an amazing breakfast restaurant with a 1 min walk. Nice views from the hotel too "
