It's a nice hotel with a 7 mins bus ride to the Kyoto station. 17 mins if you prefer to walk. The bus stop is 1 minute from the hotel. The hotel staffs are very friendly. The hotel has been only open for 6 months. It was a nice studio apartment. Enough room for my partner and I.The hotel is down a narrow clean street. We were unsure where we were going when the taxi brought us to the hotel. If you take a taxi from the Kyoto station make sure you have the address written in Japanese. The area is convenient to food options, a subway line, numerous temples, and Kyoto National Museum. It is walkable to Kyoto station, about 15 minutes, but there is a convenient bus too. Only disappointment was not being able to accommodate our son on fold out couch, as this is why we booked this room. Just not enough room to get to the bathroom during the night. Not too big a deal as son lives in Kyoto and this was just for convenience.
