Had a few notes on upkeep to share with the property managers, and they were very receptive to feedback. Pool is great and well maintained. Fenced and gated, which is great for keeping kids safe. Cannot beat the location! Easy private walk to the beach. Good beach chairs provided - saved us money on rentals. Wished there was a shaded area on the deck - we brought a tailgate tent with us, so we set that up for some shaded seating with a view of the ocean. Minor repair issues kept it from being a 100%, but my family and I rate this as a 96% on the test. Issues with the home are as follows: Two doors did not secure properly so deadbolts were set and not used furtherNailhead exposures on the rear deck required shoes. Deck furniture damage left exposed screw headsMinor existing damages such as scrapes to flooring, carpet stains and broken railing in deck. All of these issues are minor and can be fixed by a handyman in a weekend. These are the highlightsThe layout is perfect. The advertisement should be changed to reflect that it is essentially two separate dwellings. We could have invited another family of friends. The master bedroom perfectly aligns with the sunrise and sunset! Absolutely breathtakingThe furniture, paint and finishes looks like a Wayfair advertisement! Dishes, linens, towels etc…were well laid out and clean. The neighborhood is immediate walking access to the fishing pier, and we will be renting again when weather gets warmer. Our family had an absolute wonderful stay at the Sea Monster. The house was perfect in every way with plenty of room for everyone. It was very clean and well appointed. Having the pool and beach so close made everything even better. We were all able to do our own thing and not worry about which group wanted to go to the beach and which group wanted to be in the pool. Kudos to the management company for excellent communication. If I had a question about anything, they were just a quick text away with a fast response time. I highly recommend this property, and we will definitely rent it again. The location was excellent, close to restaurants abd the Kure Beach Pier. The house was clean and very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen.
