On top of that this is a privately owned unit and John and Janis have designed a beautiful interior. We stayed in an other corporate owned unit here and this unit shows the personal care and beautiful decorative touch. When he found out (last-minute by the company!) that construction had to be done at the condoplex where the booking is, he offered us various accommodations to help us. Just like the owner said it is a "home" not a hotel, and each guest seems to understand and use what they need, and add a little to the supplies for the next family. Wonderful concept - and so rare these days. Highly recommend and can not wait to come back and stay again. Oh, and visit Jay at the fruit stand across the street once a day. Every day I could not wait to get out of bed to enjoy that beautiful view. Although I have to say, getting up was at times difficult because the bed is sublime (trust me, my husband is a huge mattress snob, and he said he slept best he had in months)! We had a small issue in the kitchen and I was blown away at how quickly John had someone over to fix it. We came to another rental in Oahu straight after this one and it was hard to even compare the two, because this place is so stunning. Watching the surfers right outside our door was amazing, and I could’ve done it all day! The proximity to the restaurants and shops is perfect, not too close but not too far away to feel secluded. A beautiful beach for snorkeling just steps away. So needless to say, I have zero complaints.
