Other condos are on a rocky shoreline or a long walk/drive to the beach. Our condo is a spacious 2-level condo with an open floor plan and vaulted ceilings with a spectacular ocean view from the lanai. Everything you need is included in this condo – including a fully equipped remodeled kitchen, beach chairs/towels, sand toys, assorted books and assorted games. There is also a 55” flat screen smart TV and a dvd player with an assortment of movies in the living room as well as in the master bedroom. For families with young children; there is a porta crib, high chair, stroller, and baby gates if needed. This unit also has free WIFI and cable TV. All resort amenities including 24 hour office hours, concierge, security, maintenance, and bbq pits. The Beach Club includes resort style pool with water-slide and hot tub; sand bottom keiki pool area; locker rooms and showers; fitness center with cardio room, weight room, and daily group fitness classes; 4 USTA tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, 2 basketball half-courts; shuffleboard; ping pong; lawn games; on-site restaurant and a Cabana Bar & Grill with poolside service. Both of the bedrooms are on the lower level and have new A/C units, flat screen tv’s and dvd players. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be pushed together upon request from housekeeping. There is also a pull out couch upstairs in the living room area (a mattress topper is also available to make the couch more comfortable). You can see the ocean from the living room and lanai and hear the tropical sounds and waves from the living room and master bedroom! There are ceiling and floor fans in every room Because our condo is an end unit, the tradewinds blow nicely throughout the condo to give you an extra breeze. The sunny south shore offers a perfect holiday all year. The east shore is very windy and the north shore (Princeville/Hanalei) is the rainy side of the island and there are no condo resorts directly on the sand like the Kiahuna! Enjoy the sunny south shore in this beautiful tropical resort with orchid gardens, lush greenery and large grassy areas. This is traditional Hawaiian plantation style at its best - not your typical high rise hotel. This low-density 35 acre resort is unparalleled in its tropical beauty, with more open space and vast grassy areas than most properties - you will not find another resort like this. You can spend your entire vacation here without getting into your car. Snorkeling, swimming, surfing right out front. Walk to restaurants, shopping, market, pool, tennis, golf, luaus and other activities. Relax on the beach or sit in the grassy area next to the sand. The location was great, steps to the beach for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, seeing sea turtles, seals, and even whales. The unit was comfortable but could use some updating. The property is beautiful with lush gardens, roosters and geckos. The only downside is that it is located next to a busy road and public parking lot, and the landscapers start their leaf blowers and hedge clippers at 7 am, so no sleeping in. ##### Joanne K. The trade off is that it is adjacent to a public beach parking lot and the back of the Sheraton property next door. Great view of the ocean and surfers, but lots of people and garbage trucks, etc outside the balcony. It turns out that September 15- October 25 there is major exterior construction on building 33 next door. Big equipment, jackhammers, etc from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The television in the primary bedroom was not working, and the acrylic bathtub was cracked and stained. The property manager indicated that they will be replaced soon. Furniture was dated and area rug worn and stained. Not our best experience… ##### Susan T. I think this is the best property at Kiahuna, very close to the beach and the lagoon, and several parking options. The property was clean and had all the amenities listed.
