Located between Hamburg, Ratzeburg and Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, you will find plenty of peace and quiet in a rural idyll and relaxation from everyday life. Enjoy your vacation, your weekend or just a break in our thatched forester's lodge, which was completely renovated in 2014/2015\. The forest house is located on the outskirts of Kölzin and can only be reached via a private path. It houses 2 apartments on the ground floor (apartment "Schaale" 50 m² or Apartment "Fuchsberg" 70 m²) and 1 apartment in the attic (apartment "Amor's Ruh" 80 m²). During the renovation, we made a point of preserving as much of the house's original charm as possible. The many exposed wooden beams, the old floors, dining tables from old doors, cloakrooms from old beams and the rediscovered mud wall on the ground floor create a harmonious atmosphere. This is completed by mostly antique furniture, which has been lovingly arranged in addition to new furniture throughout the house. In the large garden, with its old oaks and fruit trees, there are plenty of places to sit and relax or to have a cozy barbecue evening. The children can romp to their heart's content or play in the sandpit. The small apartment "Schaale" (2 pers.) On the ground floor has 1 living room with fireplace, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, satellite TV, shower room (hair dryer available), open kitchen with bar as dining area. Of course, free parking spaces are available on and in front of the property. Towels, bed linen and final cleaning are included. All apartments are non-smoking apartments. We are happy to provide you with a travel cot and high chair. The prices for pets are available on request. Information about the area: Kölzin belongs to the municipality of Kogel, is 4 km from Zarrentin and is thus very close to the UNESCO biosphere reserve Schaalsee with its unique flora and fauna. Many migratory birds also use the Schaalsee region as a resting and resting place. With a length of 15 km, a width of 6 km and a depth of 72 m, the Schaalsee is the deepest lake in northern Germany and was able to develop undisturbed for decades in the shadow of the former inner German border. It is now one of the most attractive landscapes in Central Europe. If you want to experience peace and nature, this is the place for you. The Forsthaus Kölzin is an ideal starting point for activities in nature or for trips to nearby, traditional cities such as Ratzeburg, Rehna, Ludwigslust, Schwerin, Hamburg or Lübeck, but also for a trip to the Baltic Sea. Enjoy the landscape by bike or on foot and explore the beautiful area. There are countless bicycle and hiking trails around the Schaalsee. Kölzin itself is located on the Schaalsee-Elbe cycle path and so there is a large rest area and playground that invites you to linger. A visit to the Kruse family's horse and equestrian farm is also possible. In Zarrentin there is the possibility to rent bicycles and boats or to sunbathe on the beach and then bathe in the Schaalsee. Visit the information center or the exhibition in the Pahlhuus, the moor trail or the monastery with the local museum. You can find out more about the range of cultural events on site at any time (e.g. in the Schaalsee-Info or in the Zarrentin Monastery). At the end of the day, enjoy the local fish or game dishes in a restaurant or inn. And by the way: Skiing is also possible with us - in every season. Simply go to the Ski- und Alpincenter Wittenburg. So haben wir auf ganz einfache Weise unsere Kilometer mit den Fahrrädern gesammelt. Die Matratzen verdienen ein extra Lob, sie sind mit das Beste, auf dem wir in fremden Betten geschlafen haben! Und Fliegenfenster in jedem Raum sind ebenfalls toll! Man konnte mit den Räder überall hinfahren. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und nett . Wenn man die Ruhe sucht und sich erholen möchte ist man dort richtig . Würde die Wohnung weiter emfehlen. Im Wohnzimmer würde ein etwas höherer Tisch sinnvoll sein um auch mal ein wenig Spiele machen zu können. Im Sanitärbereich würde ich die Ablage über dem Waschbecken nach Links verschieben, weil man sich sich beim waschen sehr schnell den Kopf stoßen kann. Ansonsten ein schönes Anwesen. Es gibt mehrere Plätzchen, wo man sich hinsetzen und die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Eine große Schaukel, über Kletterseile in einem großen, alten Baum befestigt, hält nicht nur "Kleine", auch Erwachsene können unter dem Baum schwingen und sich in ihre Kindheit zurückversetzt fühlen. Ein I-Tüpfelchen! Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. An alles ist gedacht! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Dass Kölzin selbst nicht wirklich viel zu bieten hat, störte uns nicht, da Zarrentin nur ca. 5km entfernt ist. Zu Radeln und Spazierengehen eine herrliche Gegend. Das Wohnhaus ist ein wirklicher Hingucker, wunderschön eingerichtet und toll abgestimmte Elemente aus traditioneller Baukunst (Fachwerkhaus mit Reetdach) und neuer, moderner Einrichtung. Ich habe mich schockverliebt in das Haus! Der Garten war aber mindestens genauso toll! Riesengroß, überall gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten, ein großer Sandkasten, viele Bäume, die Schatten gespendet haben, Vogelgezwitscher überall, eine eigene Terasse, Grills mit Kohle und Grillbesteck stehen für jeden bereit, in der Wohnung fanden wir auch alles vor, was wir gebraucht haben und es war sauber, ruhig und einfach nur erholsam. Unser Hund hat den Garten mindestens genauso geliebt, wie wir! Hier hatte er Platz zum Toben und jede Menge zu erkunden. Die Vermieter sind auch sehr freundliche und herzliche Menschen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! Der Aufenthalt war eindeutig zu kurz und wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! Het appartement was ruim en mooi ingericht. Hout voor de open haard was inbegrepen. De tuin was zeker voor Nederlandse begrippen gigantisch groot met overal gezellige zitjes. Ook het gebruik van de mooie sauna was bij de prijs inbegrepen! In de omgeving zijn Lübeck en Schloss Schwerin zeker een bezoek waard, en rondom de Schaalsee is het goed wandelen en fietsen. Judith en André waren heel vriendelijk en gastvrij. Kortom, wij raden een verblijf in Kölzin (op maar 5 à 6 uur rijden van Midden-Nederland zeker aan! Alles sehr sauber, modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Wohnzimmer hat einen Kaminofen aber ist ansonsten eher spartanisch eingerichtet. Bad uns Schlafzimmer sehr schön. May 7, 2019 #### Wunderschöne Tage trotz Kälte Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön gelegen und in einem sehr guten Zustand. Sie bietet einen guten Komfort und ist ausreichend für zwei Personen. Der Garten ist sehr verwunschen und bietet viele Stizmöglichkeiten. Ideal für Kinder, die gerne stromern und draußen spielen. Spiele und Bücher für Kinder sind ausreichend vorhanden. Frau Lehrmann hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und sie wäre jederzeit für uns erreichbar gewesen. Als Senioren hätten wir nur gerne einen Tisch mit Stühlen, da es uns schon schwerfällt, auf die Barhocker zu klettern. Das ist aber nur eine kleine Anmerkung. Wir möchten uns noch einmal ganz herzlich bei den Vermietern für den ereignisreichen Aufenthalt bedanken und werden bestimmt noch einmal wiederkommen, aber wenn es ein bisschen wärmer ist.
