Not only is the location perfect, but the home includes a private pool in a secluded backyard with a hot tub and outdoor shower. You'll love the coastal feel, the generous floor plan, 3 of the 5 bedrooms are master suites with cable TV and each of the 3 levels has a lounge area. \[Note: No dogs or other animals are allowed in this home.\] Beds: 2 King Masters, 1 Queen Master, 2 Twin Beds, 2 Bunk Bed Sets; 12 Towel Sets provided TOP LEVEL: Located on the top level is a Great Room with a cathedral ceiling, a living area with flat-screen TV, dining area (seats 8), kitchen island (seats 4) and the newly renovated kitchen. A King Master Suite with private deck access, shower and soaking tub. Guests have access to the top sun deck with picnic table. There is a half bath on this floor. \[Note: gas fireplace is not available for guest use.\] MID LEVEL: This level has two master suites: one King and one Queen plus a bedroom with 2 Twin beds that a hall bath (shower/tub combo). All bedrooms have access to covered decks, facing either towards the front or the back of the house. This level also has a sitting area with deck access. GROUND LEVEL: There is one bedroom with 2 Bunk Bed sets and a large bathroom with shower/tub combo. The laundry area is nearby and there is exterior access to the outside pool (16' x 36') and a hot tub. There is also a large Lounge area with a mini-fridge as a great place to relax while being close to the outside pool patio. There is parking for 3-4 vehicles in the driveway. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us to spread out. The kitchen and living area is on the top floor (3 flights of stairs). We had grandparents and that was occasionally a lot for them.
