LOCATED ON GOLF COURSE, LARGE POOL, 5 MINUTES TO BEACH!!! \*\*\*\* WE ARE ON A GOLF COURSE! WE CANNOT CONTROL IF GOLF BALLS ENTER OUR PROPERTY! \*\*\*\* We have surveillance cameras on the property to insure property and guests safety. There are 2 outdoor cameras that face each door on the decks and a door bell camera that covers the driveway. There is an indoor camera that is portable and kept in our locked area, The indoor camera is only hooked up when the house sits empty. Constructed in the Old Nags Head style of the 'unpainted aristocracy,' this house, known to friends and family as 'The Buckeye Beach Inn,' is filled with surprising amenities. Featuring a pool larger than the ones at most hotels on the Outer Banks and multiple expansive decks. The perfect family getaway. We are proud to be offering it as a vacation rental! There is off street parking for 6+ cars. A detached garage serves as a pool room and bar, complete with flat screen tv, casual sitting, pool table, and bathroom. This means you can have tons of fun without worrying about waking anyone up! The huge, sprawling, multilevel deck overlooking the golf course surrounds the house and ascends to the massive swimming pool on the lower level. There is plenty of outdoor seating (four picnic tables with umbrellas), chairs and loungers. The pool is completely private and sheltered from the wind by an outer wall. We have two outside showers, one enclosed, and one on the pool deck. In addition, there is a charcoal grill. The main level of the house is a large open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, and den with two sofas and large flat screen tv. Three of the four bedrooms and two baths are also on this floor. Two bedrooms feature queen beds, one bedroom features a pyramid bunk (one twin, one double). There is also a small office area with desk, perfect for surfing the web with our free wi-fi. Up a small flight of stairs is a second large den with dining area and wet bar. Off to itself, it's the perfect place to put, or escape from, the kids. This room has two sofas, a 42 inch flat screen, and dining table. The master suite is located above this area on its own private floor, accessible via spiral staircase. This spacious room, with king bed and flat screen tv, has a private balcony with ocean and golf course views. It's the perfect place to sit at the end of the day with a beverage, or to watch the sunrise over the ocean if you are an early bird. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The kitchen was beautiful although the cookware was sometimes challenging. The mattress in the bedroom closest to the family room was tough for 2 people to sleep on - it seemed a little sunken in the middle, but overall, these 2 minor issues did not dampen our stay. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth. We had just two very minor concerns during our stay, and both were addressed promptly and professionally.The huge pool was a highlight for us—so much fun! I only wish we had more time to enjoy it, but we made the most of it when we weren’t at the beach.The garage game room with a pool table was the perfect hangout spot, especially for our late-night crew. It allowed the early sleepers to get their rest without disruption.I stayed in the loft, which was cozy and comfortable, with great temperature control and the cutest spiral staircase. The bed was super comfy, and it quickly became my favorite spot in the house.We loved how the home was laid out—it gave us space to all be together, but also allowed for smaller group time in different areas.The location was also a big plus! It was perfectly situated between everything we wanted to do, yet tucked away on a quiet street. We had no issues with golf balls or noise—just peace and convenience.I’m definitely hoping to stay at this property again. Same great Host, we had a horrible heatwave while staying and the upstairs window unit was struggling and cutting off. We messaged the host and they had a maintenance guy out same day to replace the unit. Couldn’t ask for a better host or spot to stay for a week at the beach! ##### Jackson G. The property was ready to go upon our arrival. The quick access to restaurants, shopping, golf, and the beach was excellent! Internet went down during our stay and they helped get us connected again. Cleanliness: The updated part of the home was fairly clean however the windows/doors were actually a bit grimy. The older part of the home and master were unclean. Carpets were dirty, lots of animal hair. The bathroom upstairs was also dirty, shower was not clean with hair inside. The spiral staircase should probably be replaced at some point soon. Kitchen: Well stocked, nice appliances, some of the dishes needed to be cleaned before use. Golf Course: We knew we’d be on a course however had we known it wouldn’t have been safe, we would’ve selected a different house. It was really bad, around 20-30 balls landed in the backyard throughout the week. At one point, 4 balls landed within 20 minutes. One was inches from hitting my wife and son in the head, one almost hit my mother and another hit me in the ankle. It got to the point where we felt unsafe in the backyard. We’d highly suggest looking into a net/screen to help prevent shots from coming in. Even after hours kids were slicing balls into the yard. Pool: Deep end is very deep so be careful if you have young children. Pool is also falling apart, definitely needs to be repaired, along with the decking on the backside of the pool. Outdoor showers were very convenient Garage was fun! We played tons of pool Bugs: Just noticed large cockroaches on the deck and garage (3”!) ##### Donald G. Not too far from the beach, with a huge pool to enjoy! The property was great for two families to share, while maintaining privacy. One family utilized the upstairs “apartment,” while the other family took the three bedrooms in the main living area. My only complaint about the property - we only had one set of keys. If the group separated for the evening, we had to guess who would return first to keep the keys. ##### Leann R. Great spot for families, 5 minute drive to the beach to public parking on Luke street with beach access. Pool was awesome! Garage was fun with the pool table and darts, and extra fridge was helpful. A couple of tv’s did not work in the bedrooms downstairs but other than that we had no complaints and would definitely book this location again! ##### Jackson G.
