About this property
High Bridge Haven, Kirkby-in-Furness , Cumbria
A superb cedar lodge, purposely designed to be the perfect getaway for two, High Bridge Haven is situated in a secluded area with breath-taking views across the Duddon Estuary and the spectacular Lake District mountains beyond, which can be enjoyed from the luxurious hot tub.
Step inside this romantic retreat to an inviting open-plan living area where the squidgy corner sofa awaits cosy nights in for two, in front of the flickering contemporary wood burning stove. The modern kitchen area is a pleasure to cook in and make the most of the larder of fresh local produce of the region, which can be enjoyed from the dining area overlooking the raised terrace and its magnificent views, through bi-folding glazed doors. When it's time for bed, climb into the comfy king-size bed and awake afresh to explore another day. The bedroom enjoys a walk-in wardrobe and a generous en-suite with twin wash basins and a double walk-in shower, along with a convenient door to the hot tub area for a quick change!
In addition to all this, the most important room has to be located outside, where a carefully placed deck and gazebo houses the bubbling hot tub. A joy by day when the best of the breath-taking views can be appreciated, but equally special by night, for stargazing and enjoying the atmospheric lighting scheme.
Located on the Furness peninsula and only a short distance from the village of Kirkby-in-Furness, the lodge is in an ideal spot from which to explore the area's beautiful scenery. There are many rural and coastal walks in the area which offer a fabulous opportunity to catch a glimpse of Cumbria's abundant birds and wildlife. A number of great pubs and restaurants are nearby to try out in Dalton-in-Furness and Ulverston.
Golfers are catered for at the Dunnerholme 10 hole links course, just under 3 miles away, much of which can be seen from the lodge.
High Bridge Haven is the perfect place from which to explore the spectacular beauty of the Lake District National Park, just 10 miles away; along with the much anticipated return and restoration of Donald Campbell's famous Bluebird K7 which is proudly displayed at the Ruskin Museum in Coniston.
