Sweet Lime Village is one of three small condo communities sited around the beautiful Carambola Golf Club. Most are owner occupied year round or serve as vacation homes. ABOUT CARAMBOLA GOLF CLUB In colonial Danish times, the Carambola valley was a large estate for the cultivation of sugar cane. The ruins of an 18th-century sugar factory are still to be seen behind the golf course clubhouse. Sugar cane was grown in the valley until the early 1960's when the late Laurence Rockefeller bought most of the property in the area because he felt that it was an ideal location for the development of winter homes and a luxury resort. To set this in motion he built the golf course as its centerpiece. While Mr. Rockefeller himself never did any further development in Carambola, a hotel was built on the north shore and over the years some one hundred homes have been built in the Carambola area. These homes range from spacious hill-top residences to condominium-style villas on the golf course, all within an exclusive gated community. In addition to the amenities provided by the club, the close proximity to the beautiful North shore provides swimming from sandy beaches in warm Caribbean waters, boating, fishing, and scuba diving, all making it an exceptionally desirable warm-weather home location. Offers an amazing, quite private view of the beautiful mountains and valley around Carambola. Filled to the brim with antique furniture, collectibles, and wonderful local art to enjoy, it is also a comfortable, well provisioned, and generously sized villa (larger then the pictures show). The nearby pools were such a nice way to cool down after a day in the sun, and the apple TV was an unexpected bonus we really enjoyed to end each day with a favorite show or movie. It was well stocked with all of the necessary items to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The unit is very clean, light, bright and airy. No need for air conditioner or heat with the perfect tropical breezes. The gallery is fantastic to enjoy coffee and meals with views of the golf course and mountains. The pool is just steps away with a private feel because we always had it all to ourselves. The area is very quiet and serene with beautiful landscape throughout this tranquil village. It is very private and peaceful but there are lots of things to do just minutes away. The north shore beaches are five or ten minutes away, there are some of the best restaurants nearby, and of course, you are right on the golf course. The two main towns Christiansted and frederiksted are not far and But you don't even have to leave to enjoy yourself. There is a beautiful pool two doors down that we had all to ourselves and another pool up by the clubhouse with a spectacular setting among picturesque ruins and a view over the valley. In the evening we watched movies on the big screen TV. The condo is spotlessly clean and comfortable and has everything you need. It is mostly furnished with antique mahogany furniture that is very beautiful but also functional and inviting. The house is surrounded by flowering plants and lush tropical vegetation. With high ceilings and lots of Windows and window doors it's like being outside . There was always a light, cool breeze. The back terrace runs the full width of the living room and is a great place for private sunbathing or just soaking up the beauty of the surroundings ##### Maresa F. The decor was historic west indies and very functional. The location was quite with minimal traffic which provided a relaxing time. One of the pools is located a few units over and was very enjoyable to use. If your considering renting this unit, I would highly recommend it.
