Approached over a private gravel lane the cottage is the first property on the left with private parking right alongside the cottage which also provides access to a small covered useful storage area for muddy boots and wet beach stuff and the rear of the cottage via a wrought iron gate. An oak front door leads to a carpeted hallway with built in cupboard. From the hallway you enter a vaulted light and airy kitchen diner with Karndean flooring, fully fitted with large oak framed window providing stunning views across the valley. An extending dining table and chairs with matching oak sideboard provide lots of opportunity for lovely dining. A door leads to the fully tiled utility area with washer dryer, integrated freezer and microwave. From here a back door takes you to a secluded patio area with a table and chairs to catch the morning sun and those lovely countryside views. Moving back through the kitchen the Karndean flooring continues into an airy open plan vaulted lounge with a large corner sofa bed and matching armchair, wall mounted 50" smart TV and a Stovac log burner for those cosy evenings. A complementary basket of logs is supplied. From the lounge bi-fold doors open up onto a pretty sunny patio area and lawned garden creating a lovely space for enjoying the sunshine and the stunning evening sunsets. A built in gas barbecue and further garden furniture provide lots of opportunities for outdoor dining. A spacious fully tiled bathroom with underfloor heating and night time courtesy light leads off the hallway providing a walk-in shower with rainfall shower and additional hand held shower head for washing off all that sand from the beach. Separate bath, WC and wash hand basin with illuminated automatic de-misting mirror with shaver point and large heated towel rail. Bedroom 1 is a cosy, fully carpeted spacious room with a super king-size bed which can be divided into two single beds. Dual aspect oak framed windows with views over the countryside, bedside drawers with side lamps, dressing table, hairdryer, cosy chair, wall mounted 24" TV and double fitted wardrobe with shelving and lots of hanging space. Bedroom 2, also fully carpeted, has a king size bed, cosy chair, bedside drawers with side lamps, 24" wall mounted TV and double fitted wardrobe with shelving and lots of hanging space. The property includes luxurious feather duvets and pillows Fibre also available, 100% cotton bed linen, super fluffy towels , tea towels, Wi-Fi provided. Please bring own beach towels The cottage is non-smoking and sorry we do not allow pets. Situated in South Milton, the cottage is surrounded by lots of lovely thatched properties, a Grade I listed church and village hall where during the summer months many village events take place. South Milton is situated in stunning open countryside, many picturesque villages and beautiful beaches including Bantham beach, a popular surfing beach, Hope Cove a tranquil little fishing village with large family friendly pub and cafes. The village is situated between the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Kingsbridge is a busy market town with two supermarkets situated at the head of the Kingsbridge estuary. Salcombe is a haven for boat lovers and has many lovely shops and restaurants. If you fancy venturing a little further you can visit the historic town of Totnes with castle, lots of individual unusual shops and steam railway or Dartmouth with its stunning harbour and lively boat life providing many bookable boat trips along the coast and the River Dart. The property is in immaculate condition, with plenty of space inside and outside to relax. We particularly liked the outdoor space, where we could sit and enjoy the sun at any time of day. South Milton is a picturesque village, and we enjoyed having the views of the surrounding hills, with easy access to the coast, too. There are lots of beautiful places to visit in South Hams, and all of them within easy reach. We'd be happy to return. ##### Colin P. Excellent accommodation and facilities in an ideal position to visit this area of South Devon. It only takes 40 minutes via a footpath almost next to the cottage to reach the sea and Salcombe is an easy 10 minutes by car. We were blessed by excellent weather all week and were able to take advantage of the garden and BBQ. Thank you Peggy and Andy for your hospitality. We greatly enjoyed our stay. ##### Martin F.
