Northstar California Resort is seven miles away for quality downhill and boarding, and Lake Tahoe and Kings Beach are less than two miles away, with more opportunities for skiing, boarding, and cross-country in the winter. Summer activities include paddleboarding, sunbathing, live music, biking, and miniature golf. Crystal Bay, Nevada's casinos, and nightlife are just three miles away, and North Tahoe Regional Park is two miles away with sports fields and hiking trails in a beautiful setting. Property manger were pretty helpful when we call and ask to remove the trash as our bean were full. all the appliances and tv/cable work very well and were pretty important to us especially during the world cup early morning games. There is an abundance of cooking elements, appliances, wifi, games, coffee makers, hot coco, beddings, etc. The location is great (very close to a safeway) for fun and games. It was very easy checking in and out. The heating needs a little getting used to. The bedrooms can get very ho or very cold. It would be easier to manage if the windows and doors were double pane. We liked the house and the location very much. We were on a family vacation with a 2 year old, so we planned to cook all meals except for one night out. The kitchen could have used some more utensils, pots, and pans etc. to make cooking easier: 2 large broken plastic serving spoons could have been easily replaced; only 4 steak knives & 2 wine glasses; no frying pan big enough to cook sausage, bacon, or eggs for 8 people...2 small ones did not suffice; no large baking pans to cook casseroles; and no dishwasher soap. The garbage box outside held 2 completely full garbage cans from the previous guests....no room for our garbage to be taken out and no extra bags. There was only enough soap for one load of towels and sheets, and we were happy to accommodate your request to start a load but could have started another 2 loads prior to leaving. With a few simple additions....your kitchen would be greatly improved, and 'd love to rent again! I hope you consider this for your future guests. Happy New Year! ##### Jeanne C. Séjour de 3 nuits en décembre 2016 ### 4/10 – Médiocre #### Kathy R. 13 janv. 2016 #### Great Location, Good layout of rooms, Beautiful big windows, Property management not so great I'll start with the good first - great location - close to skiing, shopping dining and you are surrounded by beautiful scenery. The house was spacious enough to sleep the 7 of us, and we were all comfortable. House was stocked with pretty much everything you would need. The bad - Showed up at check in time of 4 to two feet of snow in the driveway. While we were shoveling the snow to park the cars of which only two would fit (even thought the description said there would be room for 3 cars (had to park the third down the street in a condo complex), a housecleaner came running by us into the house. She came running back out after stuffing some linens in the wash to say it would be another hour before it would be clean. After we called, 3 more housecleaners showed up to clean so we got into the house around 6:00 after shoveling snow and sitting in our cars. It was 28 degrees outside. The bear box was full of garbage from previous renters. We were told in the description that the garbage would be picked up on Wednesday so we put it out only to have to bring it all back in that night because it was actually Friday that they pick up. The management came by to pick up some of the garbage as we were leaving the place our last day. Also there was no laundry detergent there for us to clean any of the linens on our way out. Made us think maybe the cleaners washed the linens without soap. Yuk. Hard to recommend because of all this and no offer to deduct some of our rental cost which was extremely high because of it being Christmas holiday. ##### Kathy R.
