Here at The Chalet, the hotel acts as a perfection location for home base during your vacation as it's so close to all of the action, come sun or snow! Hiking trails, golf, river rafting, and waterfront activities while preoccupy your stay during the summer, while winter activities such as cross-country and downhill skiing will entice you to get out and enjoy the crisp, snowy air. Many local restaurants are mere minutes away, giving some variety and choice to your stay, providing nightly entertainment and fantastic food. Inside you'll find one comfortable King bed and a TV with streaming services in case you need to catch up on your favorite shows. A minifridge is provided to keep hiking snacks fresh, while a coffee maker sits on a breakfast bar with a microwave for on-the-go touring. Wash off the lake or snow with the beautifully tiled walk-in shower, perfect after a long day of fun in the mountains. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Ski shuttle details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. We chose this listing due to the location and the price knowing that we spend very little time in the room for this trip. The building was old and in some disrepair, but the furnishings were clean and modern. Positives: bed was comfortable, location, price Negatives: building was old and in disrepair (plastic cover over the toilet, cracks in the wall, main room was kind of dark, No Hot Water in shower, no HVAC, Wi-Fi was cutting in and out (2G service). Stroll right across the street to the Lake. Lots of great coffee joints, shops and restaurants just a short stroll away. Bed was comfy, came with a comfy chair and foot rest Generally quiet neighbors Check in process was easy Great price! CONs: - seemed clean when we first walked in, but once we got settled we started seeing that some spoons were not clean, some stray hairs were left about. Nothing major but not impressive - WiFi didn’t work/was too weak to do any good - outdoor fire pit looked nice but had no actual propane tank attached - had spare pillows, but no spare pillowcases (nor extra blankets) - had keurig coffee maker but no pods etc - guest is required to wash own dishes prior to leaving (that explains the unclean spoons), but minimal sink space/resources to do that. Again, it was a great price and location was exactly what we needed for our short trip.
