- Public beach access with parking on 5th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st streets
- Sea La Vie is located right in the middle of the Outer Banks
- There is less traffic than the northern or southern beach roads
- You can still visit each area with day trips from Sea La Vie
- Go right to get to the fishing marina at Oregon Inlet
- Go left to see the wild horses in Corolla
- View lighthouses in both directions
- Hang glide at Jockey's Ridge

Sea La Vie is WONDERFUL!

This house is huge and very well maintained. Plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of dishes and supplies in the kitchen, very comfortable furniture including a huge new sofa, lots of inside games, games, corn hole for the back yard, picnic table, fire pit with long sticks for cooking marshmallows. Great location 2 blocks from the beach.this was our second family vacation there and and we plan to go back next summer too!

Good location

This house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed and some things we didn't know we needed. It had plenty of room for the kids to play. The bedrooms feel private because of their location throughout the house. For us, this house was in a good location because it was minutes from all of our scheduled activities. Being close to Avalon Pier and a park with a splash pad was a bonus. Plus, we could see the ocean from one of the balconies. We had a great time during the day and a comfy cozy house to go back to in the evening.

We loved our stay! The house was convenient, spacious and clean. My children got rowdy on the sofa and broke it. The insurance company covered everything and the owner was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you so very much!!

Location, location, location

We enjoyed our stay very much. This was our third trip to the OBX, but our first experience with a whole home rental, and Vrbo. Overall, the experience was great. Reservation process, communication, and overall property quality was great. We were there for a friend’s surprise 50th birthday party. There were 6 adults staying at the house. We weren’t there a lot, but the property was clean, and had all the necessary amenities. We will, of course, be back. The location can’t be beat.

Wonderful house, great location, good amenities and an overall really good stay. Only drawback is crossing the highway to get to the beach due to volume, but that's not anyone's fault it's so popular around Kill Devil Hills. My friends and I had a great time and I highly recommend this place!

Three generation family trip

This house was PERFECT for our first-ever vacation with our two adult children and their families: my husband an I took the first floor, our daughter, herfiancee, and their children ages 7 and almost 5 fit perfectly on the second floor, and our son and his wife and 16-month old daughter were on the third floor. The kitchen was so well equipped - plenty of plates, mugs, glasses and silverware for all 9 of us, so we didn't have to run the dishwasher every day. The 3rd floor deck with gas grill was perfect for cooking and eating dinner. The house is beautifully decorated in bright colors and a nautical theme throughout. Plenty of comfy furniture and a TV in every room. The second floor living room had a shuffleboard table that was a hit with our grandson, and also a foosball table. Convenient laundry room (full-size washer and dryer) on the second floor. Third floor living room had plenty of seating and was open to the kitchen. More than enough space for all of us to be together, but also have privacy if we needed it. The second refrigerator in the Tiki Room on the first floor was very convenient. The fenced back yard was a fun place to play corn hole (another hit with our grandson!), sit in the hammock chair, and enjoy s'mores around the fire pit. Plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards that we could use. This was a tremendous vacation and we voted unanimously to come back next year! Alison (the owner) was extremely helpful in answering questions ahead of time.

Great OBX spot for groups

Sea La Vie was the perfect place for our group of 8. The house was big enough with hang out spaces on all 3 floors (love the tiki bar!), the fire pit was great, the kitchen was fully equipped and modern. The location was good, just be aware you’ll have to cross one road to get to the beach.

Nice Family Vacation Spot

Sea La Vie is a very comfortable and well equipped house, centrally located, and close to beach and shopping. Fishing from Avalon Pier or bayside. The bayside sunset is awesome. We liked the multiple levels which gave teenagers their own space. Everyone gathered in the yard around the fire pit at night. Highly recommended!

We loved staying at Sea La Vie! The owners have thought of all your needs and have helpful notes all around the house. There are so many different hang out spaces and the foosball & shuffleboard were awesome bonuses. We loved the jetted tub and having so many bathrooms. It’s a great distance from shops, pier & beach!

Close to causeway

Lovely home. Very clean and very well stocked. Close to beach and sound. My only complaint was that the house was too close to the causeway- very noisy to sit outside and the street itself was highly trafficked. So many cars/ trucks!! Otherwise lovely. Thank you!

Great Family location

Our family loved the W Avalon home & were impressed w/how our host had thought of everything we might need. Though we endured the tropical storm, which kept us indoors there plenty of activities & space to keep our family of 7 entertained. My diabled husband & I being older found we couldn't make the walk to the beach due to the locations' proximity to Croaton Hwy. The description of "a 3 min walk to beach" was a stretch; even for the family w/small children & a stroller. But, the location was ideal for shopping & restaurants & beach days. Overall we were very pleased w/our stay & can't say enough of Alisons' responsiveness to the few hiccups we faced. She was very quick to get back to me, w/solutions each time. We'd stay at Sea Le Vie again!

We had plenty of room to spread out or be together. Only drawback was the location. Due to how busy 158 is, we couldn't walk to the beach, but it was never an issue finding parking at the public access areas
