This gorgeous oceanfront home features 16 bedrooms and has a maximum occupancy of 32 based on bedding. This magnificent home is ideally located in central Kill Devil Hills, directly near favorite OBX sights and attractions - restaurants, shops and the Wright Brothers Memorial. Close to the Asheville Street public beach access, this home welcomes events, weddings, corporate retreats and family reunions. Exclusive amenities such as an elevator, theater room, lounge areas, open-air spaces and a one-of-a-kind outdoor entertainment area blend seamlessly with high-end designer furnishings to create an atmosphere of carefree living, unhurried fun and total comfort and relaxation. With 16 bedrooms, 16 full and 2 partial baths, the home can easily accommodate an extended family reunion, corporate retreats, or ultimate friends getaway. Multiple gathering areas on each level of Magnolia Cay are centered around varied entertainment options. These areas provide the perfect backdrop for laughter, friendship and perhaps some good-natured competition. The exterior pool deck features a 16 x 36 custom heated pool. Soak your cares away in one of the two 8-person hot tubs. Enjoy the warm ocean breeze and salted air on the pool deck. Other exterior amenities include outdoor showers, sauna, picnic area and gas grill. A private boardwalk leads you to a deck overlooking the dunes and beyond to the great Atlantic. The first level boasts a theater room. Catch the latest blockbuster or an old favorite here. It is also home to lounge areas such as a wet bar and game area with pool table. In addition, the first level contains 1 King En Suite, 1 Queen En Suite, an En Suite with two full/twin trundle beds and an additional En Suite single bunk room with another full/twin bunk bed. On the second level, there is a comfortable den space leading to the outdoor deck area. Enjoy the wet bar on this level for your favorite libations. In addition to those fun places, the second level also features the majority of the sleeping arrangements. This level includes 4 King En Suites, 1 Queen En Suite, 1 Full/Twin Bunk with Trundle, and one room with a Queen Bed and a Twin Bed. These last-named rooms have a semi-private bathroom. The third level brings the outdoors in with an ocean air great room. You will also find a covered deck and lounge here. This level is what some would call the heart of the home with the grand kitchen, dining room and vaulted great room. Undoubtedly, this will be the scene for many special memories made between family and friends. This level also features 4 King En Suites. Take a moment. Stand on the oceanfront pool deck and feel the warm sun on your face, the salt air misting through your hair and the warm breeze floating over your skin. You have arrived at beautiful Magnolia Cay. This property has 16 parking spots for guests. Want added comfort? Consider adding the Heated Pool option! A Heated Pool option can be added upon request for $50 per night of your reservation. This fee is added to your reservation at the time of the request, which must be a minimum of 72 hours before arrival. Pool heat must be added for the entirety of your stay. This pool is heated by a heat pump. An ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.\*\* \*\*Private heated pools will open on April 1st and close on November 1st. Hot tubs are open year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter the backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. The home was very lovely and accommodating. It means a lot to me to have my family comfortable and in a safe environment. This was one of the best homes we have ever stayed at. The Bluetooth radio by the pool only worked on the radio not enough pool seating upon arrival. Water on the floor of 2nd fl bedroom. Boilers kept shutting down. Barbecue's needed cleaning upon arrival. No house manual how to operate tv, media room, ovens, hot tubs, etc. I have used many Air B & B and they always have a house manual (Just a suggesting) Luckily I am a mechanical contractor and with Googles help was able to figure things out. Finally, the house overall is a nice property but needs TLC and it would be great, I paid a nice chunk of change and expected everything to be working good upon arrival, not the be spending time texting and call to have these issues resolved. ##### Bill D. The first impression was not the greatest when we first drove up to the property, the trash dumpster was completely full and overflow to the driveway. The first day we have no access to the trash disposal. The management company showed up and told us to go through the property and let her know what's not working, but how does one do that when we know nothing about the property and how everything works. She didn't show us and there are no documentations on how things work. Right away, we see that the floor are dirty and needs to be mopped. Some of the beds are full of sand. We noticed one cooktop was not working and was not fixed during our stay. The other cooktop, some of the burner are not working properly. We ran one of the dishwasher on night one, and it leaked all over the floor, so we told them about it and we didn't use it during our stay. There are also issues with one of the water heaters, it kept shorting out and shutdown. A plumber came by during our stay and it could not be fixed right away, so he showed me how to reset it. Why am I doing all this on my vacation at a vacation rental? There are other issues with the TV setup through out the property and the movie room. Nothing was set up correctly, I pretty much had to reconnect everything so I can get it to work. Also, a lot of minor broken things and unsanitary issues like, broken toilet seats and moldy toilets. Family gathered, 28 total people. Used all rooms of the house, plenty of space although the location of the beds was off from the listing. Séjour de 7 nuits en juillet 2024 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Kym M. 14 juin 2024 #### An honest review Our group had a pleasant time at the beach, enjoying the great location, nearby amenities, and unbeatable oceanfront access. The check-in process was smooth, and the emails were timely. However, we encountered issues with cleanliness, trash pickup, non-working audiovisual equipment, door locks, and other maintenance problems, causing stress. Despite having a communication avenue, we felt Kees should inspect properties more thoroughly between guests. This was an expensive rental, and it was a rare vacation for us. For the first three days of our five-day stay, we dealt with vendors fixing electrical, AV, sauna, hot tub, grill, trash/cleaning, rusty pots and pans, linens, and various broken items. Some issues, like non-working locks, a broken window in a children's room, a faulty second-floor railing (all safety issues), and a non-operational sauna (an amenity issue), were not resolved during our stay. Also the beds were noisy/uncomfortable; all guests complained about this. I had to call multiple times for updates on vendor arrivals as promised by the on-site Kees rep/handyman. Despite these problems, we appreciate Kees' generally quick response times and the excellent customer service from their personnel. We wish we spent less time dealing with issues and more time enjoying our vacation. Nonetheless, we still had a great time, & the property was beautiful despite its faults. However, the first day several showers did not have hot water. Also, a bathroom on the bottom floor did not have the water running for the toilet. We contactes management and they sent someone over. The hot tub on the second story took much longer to heat up. And the sauna that was listed was caution taped off. Unusable. They were responsive to our requests, but no discount was offered.
