Also, you can reach out to us about questions and while booking online is certainly and option it may save you time to email first. Great old school beach cottage in beautiful Kill Devil Hills. This one is not your typical beach box home. It has all the character of the fine homes built on the outer banks years ago. Knotty pine walls, floors, and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking. This home is located near milepost 10 which is almost middle of the outer banks ocean area. This area may also be refered to as the OBX (outer banks). You are close to EVERYTHING. 5 minute walk to the beach (across the street). 5 minutes to Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. A great day trip would be to drive down the beach and really see the best that the outer banks has to offer. Short drive through the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Hatteras areas takes you to the ferry and a 30 minute trip over to Ocracoke. This would really be an incredible day trip adventure. Home has 3 full bedrooms (2 are extremely Over-Sized), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 1 double, and a Bunk bed that sleeps 3\. Two full baths and and over sized outside shower as well. Pet friendly. Non-Smoking. We provide comforters, pillows, and blankets but guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, linens, and toiletries. The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a relaxing beach vacation. The kitchen was perfect for cooking meals, and we loved starting our mornings on the deck with coffee.The location was perfect! Just a short walk to the beach and close to local shops, restaurants, and attractions like the Wright Brothers Memorial. The neighborhood was quiet and family-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, providing helpful tips for our trip and checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. You can tell they truly care about their guests' experience.Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or an active beach adventure, this place is a fantastic home base. For the bedrooms, the pillows were yellow and the bunkbed was so squeeky, the kids had to share the queen bed. The listing did not mention we needed to bring sheets and towels, but were notified a few weeks prior we had to bring those items. The house also had no toilet paper or hand soap. Needed to go to the store right away just to have the basics. Good if traveling on a budget and you don't have to buy sheets to fit the beds. ##### Jennifer F. Host even helped us with the return of property that we left behind. The check in was a bit awkward in that we received one single key in the mail(no keypad) which we had to hide outside and then mail back after our stay. The cleaners were so/so but the house is in need of a deep clean and some repairs. While the house itself is charming, the furniture is worn and needs cleaning. Check in was simple, received a key and note in the mail from the homeowner who also verified we received it. We had previously stayed in hotels and were looking for something more cost effective that would accept pets. I was not sure we would find a place to rent in a short time, but so glad we did. The location is awesome, close to everything and only 1 block down and a block up to public access. The house was great, it was clean, beds are good, kitchen has plenty of cooking utensils and the homeowner Hal was attentive. Our family enjoyed staying in this beach cottage for our first OBX vacation. This house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. Hal, the owner was quick to respond to the few inquiries that we had. As advertised, the location of this house is excellent! Short walk to the beach, surf shops and restaurants with a great little pizza shop right at the end of the block. First, there is walkable beach access within 2 blocks. Second, if you need to haul gear to the beach, there are plenty of free parking areas for beach access points up and down VDT road, literally dozens of options to get your gear and family to the beach. Third, multiple dining options within walking distance! This property is well stocked, it has everything you need for a great stay. The porch swing on the front deck became a favorite reading spot each evening after our time at the beach. The property is clean and FUN!
