Our unit is in one of the highly coveted buildings in the complex, building 1; which not only provides quick and easy access to the world-renown Kamaole Beach 1 (Charley Youngs), but this building has some of the best ocean views in the complex. Additionally, our unit is a corner unit on the top floor which offers additional windows and lighting, with added privacy from other neighbors in the complex. This unit has just undergone a renovation as of July 2022\. The owners have fully renovated the kitchen with new cabinets, counters, and added a convenient island countertop. Additionally, all furnishings have been replaced and both bathrooms have been completely redone with walk-in showers. The lanai has patio furniture as well as an electronic screen door to provide added shade block during the sunny portions of the day. The unit is equipped with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, and a powerful split system in both bedrooms, as well as the living room. The primary bedroom has a King Bed and a ceiling fan, along with a flat screen TV with Smart Capabilities only (no cable), so you can stream your favorite media apps in bed! The second bedroom in the loft has a King bed and a ceiling fan as well. The living room has a queen sofa bed with an 8" mattress, a television, and A/C to keep things cool when you unwind from your fun day exploring the wonders of Maui. Enjoy the views from your lanai when having breakfast on your private lanai. Beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler, are supplied for your beach days. A $300 refundable security deposit is required for this unit. Maui Vista #1-418 can sleep up to 6 guests. Same day bookings and those arriving within 48 hours of making the reservation requires a phone call to Rentals Maui for confirmation. Bookings made within 7 days of arrival will require an ID check and screening prior to confirmation. Longer stays require additional terms and conditions. Please contact Rentals Maui for inquiries longer than 60 nights. We work to maintain a very accurate website. At times furniture, decor or flooring may be upgraded and pictures are not updated yet. This would not change the seating, sleeping, function or views of the condo. Amenities are accurately and clearly listed for your convenience. Maui Vista is a lovely condo complex (not hotel) located across the street from the famous Kamaole Beach and is 100 yards from Charley Young's Beach. Enjoy miles of sandy beach, snorkeling, surfing and stand-up paddle boarding a short walk away. These beaches have lifeguards, showers, picnic areas and restrooms. The Maui Vista Complex features lovely tropically landscaped grounds, 3 on-site saltwater swimming pools, all pools are available to all guests. 6 free newly resurfaced championship tennis courts, with 3 newly striped pickleball courts, and gas grills for your use. Tennis and pickleball court reservations are made on up to three weeks in advance. The condo at Maui Vista is in a great area to get around to lots of places by car or walking. We did so much in a short time. We drove the road to Hana. Went to the beach in Kaanapali & had a great lunch at the Hulu Grill. What a gorgeous beach & area! We loved the Te Au Moana luau at the Marriott Beach Resort in Wailea. It was totally worth it! Another gorgeous spot! We went to various beaches & rented a surfboard for a small fee. Our last night we went to the South Maui gardens for one of the most delicious Wagyu Burgers. The location is great, the view (especially with the sliding doors wide open) was lovely. It took some time to figure out the AC situation and how best to make it work. Only downside for me was that my kiddo sat on my bed in her wet swimsuit close to bedtime, and there are no extra linens in the house, so I had to wait for the dryer to dry the sheet. Related, the dryer was extremely slow the first few times we used it until we realized the lint trap had two pieces and the second probably hadnā€™t been cleaned in a really long time. Once we got the second part clean, it was faster. (Still longer than most little dryers, I think because of the heat pump technology it uses.) Also, we only had 4 beach towels for a place with a 6 guest capacity. Overall, though, we had a really nice stay! ##### Rebecca S. Waking up the first morning to view was spectacular! The added amenities like beach chairs and towels and umbrellas came in really handy at the beach just across the street. We appreciated the AC and fans in the afternoons and evening! We were there when the fires destroyed Lahaina, and threatened Kihei. It is devastating to think that the town we visited Monday was gone on Tuesday. We got the text saying we were safe in our location. My only comment would be to request more communications, if possible. We could see the orange glow of the fires and we got conflicting information about what we, as visitors, needed to be doing. An antenna on the TV might be a nice addition to allow pick up of any local information available. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Maui! No major issues with this unit at all. I recommend not closing the sun shade on the lanai all the way down because it traps the heat from the A/C which blows sideways across the lanai seating area. The lanai sliding doors are finicky to open and close. Have to make sure there is no dirt or debris in the track where it slides. Easy to correct by vacuuming out. It would have been nice to have the ice maker in the freezer working, otherwise you just to buy ice or continuously make it in the trays. A/C works very well. Everything was clean and well maintained. There's 3 good Tommy Bahamas beach chairs and one other bigger beach chair. There was an umbrella but not one with a good sand auger which is crucial to anchor when it gets windy so we decided to rent one. Lots of cooler options as well which was handy for excursions to the beach. The ground were well maintained as usual. I don't think we saw bug. Nice unit for a family of 4 or 5. ##### Tyler G. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was pleasant. The condo was fairly clean and mostly well stocked. Could have used a few more towels for the bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of dishes and utensils had we wanted to cook! Closet stocked with beach chairs, snorkeling gear, pool noodles, sun hat, beach towels and sand toys. We added a few things to that when we checked out! The shower head upstairs broke and it was promptly tended to while we sat at the beach the next day!Directly across from the Charlie Young beach, short walk by the pool and through the hedge gate. 1/2 block down the street and you are at the beach with a perfect view of the sunset!
