Perfectly situated on the beachfront, this condo offers easy access to five stunning beaches, including Wailea and Kamaole, all within a leisurely 15-minute stroll. The condo is equipped with modern conveniences to ensure a comfortable stay. The kitchen boasts updated stainless steel appliances and an island with a breakfast bar. A dining table for four and a dedicated workspace cater to the needs of telecommuters. The living room features a comfortable sleeper sofa, providing an extra bed for families with small children, and a flat-screen smart TV for entertainment. High-speed internet is available throughout the condo. Wake up to breathtaking ocean views from the cozy queen-sized bed in the bedroom, which also features an additional flat-screen smart TV. For added privacy, the bedroom can be partitioned off with opaque glass pocket doors. The condo includes an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and an additional bathroom. Guests at Maui Banyan enjoy access to a range of amenities, including an onsite pool, tennis court, and barbeque pavilion. An onsite activities desk is available to help you book exciting tours in the area. \*\*\*DISCLOSURE: on Monday, May 19th, 2025 Pacific Asphalt will be starting the Driveway Repair and Resealing Project. The project end date is tentatively Tuesday, May 27th, 2025\. Please see their scope of work and schedule below: Monday 19th- Prep work for the new golf cart parking area across from the front desk. There will be two traffic controllers to assist with parking and a pedestrian crossing into the parking garage. Asphalt repairs will be taking place throughout the day on property. Tuesday 20th- Paving of the golf cart parking area and performing asphalt repairs by main entry & executive office area. Crack Sealing Phase I. Traffic controllers will be there to assist with traffic and pedestrians. Wednesday 21st- Phase I T building parking crack and sealcoat application. It is on the 5th floor so the views from the elevator to the unit and your personal balcony is nice. Parking in the garage was never an issue. We didn’t use the pool but when we strolled through the grounds enjoying the gardens we could hear the laughter of children playing. The unit itself was quiet. It is stocked with necessities and is conveniently located to all the places we wanted to explore. Plus the beach is right there across the street! It was clean and everything functioned well. However, it was a tossup between a 3 and 4 rating; 3.5 might be more appropriate. We had concerns about this listing. First, the agents Hawaii Life Vacation charged us $250 USD (over $300 CDN) for a minor change to our stay that we made 4 months in advance. Yes, we knew provision for this was in the 7 page agreement that we signed when we originally booked. However a problem at work over which we had no control necessitated the change. They were absolutely inflexible about this charge despite several emails regarding it. To charge this kind of money for something that took a few mouse clicks to change is ridiculous. It should be mentioned in the listing itself, as once you receive the contract and read it, you've already decided to rent and onerous fees like this should be known in advance. We've booked on VRBO many times and have never seen a fee like this. Offsetting this a bit is the fact that Lara the local representative was very kind and efficient when we contacted her over a minor issue which she resolved while we were there. Second, the suite is listed as "recently updated". That's overselling things a bit. We've stayed in several units at the Banyan over the last 31 years, and this one has the original kitchen (except for appliances and lighting) and second bathroom. They've done an update of the ensuite bathroom but there is wear and tear on furniture, flooring etc so you should expect that. There is AC in the main living area only, not in the bedroom which many units have here. The property is well maintained and pleasant and the pools are great but one final warning - many people smoke on their balconies here and we were driven inside about every other day by the smell of tobacco or something else. Again, this unit was adequate to our needs and we had a good stay in Kihei but be aware of some of the realities of this rental. ##### Brett C. We liked the proximity to Kamaole Beach Park ll. The pool/hot tub was a great place to relax in the evenings; there were 5 new Weber grills available in the well-kept BBQ/pool area. As for our condo we liked having two bathrooms. It was fairly well-stocked and when there was an issue with a small appliance our home host was very responsive and provided a replacement the same day. The only kitchen criticism is that the knives were very dull and although they were plentiful, I would rather have had one or two sharp ones that would do the job. All in all we had a very pleasant stay in the island paradise that is Maui. ##### Gail G. Stayed here for a week. Everyone was super nice. The space was very clean and well supplied and the neighborhood was really nice across the Beach. The kitchen included all the tools.
