Thoughtfully designed and decorated, this lovely updated home is perfect for shared vacations. Uniquely situated on the cul-de-sac and peninsula of Silver Moss, this home has magnificent views of wildlife, the lagoon, and the Turtle Point golf course. This home is located in the back half of the island in the historic Vanderhorst Plantation. A relaxing, private neighborhood pool is just moments away, and the beach can be found five minutes from the rear of the home. Upon entering the home, a bright and open floor plan greets you with a coastal feel. The home has updates such as new carpet, bedding, decor and furniture. The updated kitchen and several porches make this home very comfortable. There is a living room with assorted seating and an adjacent dining area that seats eight. This home provides many decks and porches to engulf yourself in the Kiawah nature and sounds. You'll be sure to hear the herons crooning across the lagoon. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, both with King beds and en-suite bathroom. There are two bedrooms upstairs featuring king beds, en-suite bathrooms, and their own large porches. The home had everything we needed and was a perfect location to walk or bike to the beach or pool (you do however need to rent bikes, beach chairs and beach towels separately). Appeared to be pet hair on living room furniture. Outdoor furniture was covered with pollen and tabletops had not been cleaned in some time. First floor bedroom shower did not drain and tv does not work. Kitchen sink does not drain likely due to improperly installed garbage disposal. There was mold in both 2nd floor showers. Poor selection of cookware. Bring your own cleaning products. Lower level driving net and putting green are not as pictured. It’s just a storage area filled with trash. There are only 3 wine glasses. The coffee maker uses basket filters which are not sold at the grocery store on the island. The refrigerator needs a new water filter. The pool opened on the day we left. We did not contact the property manager regarding these problems during our stay. Overall I would look for another property on returning to Kiawah. The island is beautiful. ##### Ken B. A few things I would like to see touched up do to the amount we payed. Bushes behind the house cleaned up so we can enjoy the view, better hangers for the pool stick rack. It fell once and would not want to be responsible for any damage. Small amenities such as seasonings, trash bags, paper towels, cleaning supplies etc. The shuffle board pucks need to be replace due to rust on the bottom. Also needs the correct sand in order to play it. I don’t think you can get much us out of the driving range due to low garage ceilings. Maybe get rid of it and allow car access in the garage. Other than that it was in a perfect location and the walk to the beach was actually very pleasing. We didn’t spend much time in the house so these small issues were no big deal to us but I’m sure someone in the future will complain. We will be back. 4.5 out of 5. ##### Jake S. Wonderful for entertaining a large group. Screened in porch was well utilized. Basement bedroom and entertainment was a huge bonus. Loved seeing the alligator family from the lagoon bridge just steps from our door. Garage was great for parking bikes/stroller over night. Enjoyed having the option to grill. A full size washer & dryer was helpful (but the dryer usually took 2 cycles to dry.) Beach was perfect for watching fireworks. So was the bridge! All king beds made room assignments easy. Nice and quiet- sound didn’t travel to upstairs bedrooms and vice versa. Great for groups with an infant and/or toddler. Beach was not crowded. The neighborhood pool was small and too crowded. Minor complaints: Could use new carpeting. Vacuum did not work. Low water pressure in kitchen. Could really use a bathroom for the 6 sleeping spots in the basement. Inlet cove has a much better pool. ##### Julianne B. Basement AC in main room leaked. Driveway is very hard to maneuver with more than 2 vehicles. Otherwise, space and location was perfect. Will surely consider renting again. ##### Reaves T. The property is managed by Sweetgrass and they are nice but not always helpful. The “lock box “ to the house is not a typical box and in an odd place, which was not communicated to us properly. Finding this at night was a challenge. The cable and internet went out day 2 and never got restored. Sweetgrass has no IT support. The washer was out of balance and wouldn’t spin or drain. The Dryer vent was too clogged to dry the clothes ( gave us a warning code ) so we had to unhook the out vent from the wall just to get our clothes dry. The upstairs air conditioning worked intermittently. The kitchen has good space and is adequately stocked. Bathrooms are outdated but adequate. I think if all amenities were actually working I would give this place at least 4 stars. We stayed 6 nights and received a 200 dollar credit for not having internet or cable. We should have been given at least a days refund. ##### Renee C. This was our first time to visit Kiawah Island and this house was a perfect fit for our family. The location is close to the beach and close to the middle of the resort community. The house is well stocked with the exception of a few things in the kitchen. I would definitely stay here again and look forward to our net trip to Kiawah. ##### Jay C.
