MONTHLY RENTAL: Requires a minimum stay of 28 nights occurring within the same month. Stay a month and live like a local! THE PROPERTY: Located less than two blocks from Duval Street, this fully renovated home in Historic Old Town is walkable to many of the island’s attractions, including restaurants, bars, and shops. A 2016 recipient of The Historic Florida Keys Foundation’s Preservation Award, this home has been updated with the modern amenities of a luxury vacation home while maintaining much of its architectural detail. The inviting front porch is a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee or people watching. After a day on Duval Street, you will enjoy kicking back and unwinding in the living room with a flat screen TV. A white kitchen with plenty of counter space, cabinets and a farmhouse sink make snack or meal preparation a breeze. Groceries and sundries may be purchased at the unique Fausto’s Market, just a three-block walk or bike ride away. Each bedroom has two closets, night tables and bedside lighting. The primary bedroom has a private entrance and a vaulted ceiling that adds volume to the space. The primary ensuite bathroom has natural light and includes a double vanity and a frameless, walk-in shower. The secondary bedroom includes a charming window seat, perfect for evening reading. Its bathroom has a tub/shower combination, pedestal sink, and a large, frosted window. Light and bright both inside and out, this home is fenced, landscaped, and adorned with a private heated pool with waterfall feature. A covered lanai and decking will inspire you to entertain or dine al fresco. A large retractable awning provides an additional dining space or a respite from the Florida sun. Hardwood floors, central air conditioning, a mini-split in the primary bedroom, and ceiling fans add to the cool convenience of this Key West style home in paradise. BED CONFIGURATION: There is a primary king bedroom, a secondary queen bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa for an occasional guest or children. OUTDOOR AMENITIES: The home is fenced, and the outdoor area is private. The pool is heated seasonally (November through April) for an additional fee which will be assessed at the time of booking. A covered lanai, loungers, outdoor seating, dining tables, electric grill and a Zen like garden complete the area. PARKING: There is no designated parking however on street parking may be available in the neighborhood. LOCATION: Old Town Key West, just 2 blocks from Duval Street. PETS: One (1) dog allowed, up to 25 lbs, for an additional fee and completion of Pet Information addendum. Must be 1 year of age or older. Must be spayed/neutered. Reviewer Comments: La Casita en Cima is a very clean, cute place to stay. We loved the location, the cuteness and the cleanliness of it. On the down side, for us, the furniture wasn't comfortable (think straight back chairs outside and an uncomfortable big chair in the living room.) But others might find it just fine. We did find the beds very comfortable. We also found it a little weird having to go outside to get to the master bedroom if a guest was in the guest bedroom (though we knew this when we booked thanks to the floor plan included in the overview). The owner came out quickly to fix a pool heater that had gone out. The house is well maintained. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for a month in this rental property during July and loved it. The location can't be beat; Duval street was less than 2 blocks away. Our neighbors on the street were very kind to us including the roosters! Key West is a very special place to us and this is mostly because of the people who live and work on this island. This rental location enabled us to hop on our bikes and go anywhere. The backyard was a little piece of heaven which I appreciated daily. The waterfall sound in the pool, iguanas roaming in the trees above, palm trees swaying in the island breeze created a private, tropical paradise. Being able to text with the property manager was extremely convenient and hassle free. The maintenance crew was incredibly kind and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the mid stay cleaning was a fantastic service. For one week, both our daughters joined us. I will say the furniture in the living room could be more optimal with a small 'L' shape sectional. There was one small couch and a small chair. It made a movie night difficult when there was 4 of us. Other than that, I have zero complaints! It was lovely, and we will definitely return. ##### Krista M. Reviewer Comments: Outstanding choice to spend a month away from New England. The house is beautiful, spacious for a couple with ,room enough to entertain another couple. Everything you needed was there, The pool was truly an added bonus that we hadn't even factored in when selecting this property. We spent so much time in it that we can never stay in another place w/o one. The Agency and Owner were most responsive to the minor requests we had during our stay. The location is so centrally located - in a special neighborhood - that for the first time ever, we decided to not get a rental car. Walked everywhere and loved it. Fave restaurants: Cafe Marquesa, Sarabeths, Off the Hook and Bliss!! Go on the Hindu for either a morning or evening sail - you will not be disappointed! We have already booked again for 2017\.
