One of the two properties to rent at the Tropical Vibes house, this duplex is full of comfy details and punches of color. Not least of which is the home's star: a brilliant private saltwater pool (yes, it's heated!). You can start your vacation off right kicking back and enjoying a soak among lush tropical plants. Pull back the wide glass door for true indoor/outdoor living. You'll be able to cook out on the private gas grill and talk to guests reclining on the living room's posh couch. The open-style kitchen features a kitchen island with a separate range, perfect for preparing dinner while holding conversations. All the small appliances are next to the sink, so you'll still have plenty of space to work (or take a sip from your mixed drink). The home's comfy-yet-spacious main room includes a fan for circulation, and central air conditioning will make everyone feel comfortable throughout the home. Cool grey walls throughout the home (punched up with some perky Key West blue) definitely encourage a cool-and-comfortable attitude. Each bedroom features quilted linens and bright artwork that bring the cheer. You'll also find a gorgeous en suite bathroom attached to each bedroom, each featuring a beautiful standalone shower with stone accents and a glass door, a luxury sink (do you prefer stone or basin?), and a selfie-friendly LED light-up mirror. Tile work comes standard in all bathrooms, and the half bathroom shared a tile pattern with the kitchen. There's just no getting away from artistic touches in this little haven in Key West. What's nearby: If you're looking to head to the beach right away, Higgs Beach is just half a mile away. The Southernmost Point of the continental United States is just over a half-mile away - take a picture and then enjoy some conch fritters at the Southernmost Beach Cafe. But if you're looking for a different kind of escape less than one mile away, take a walk through a sanctuary of colorful birds and over 50 species of butterflies at the Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory. It’s clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a long stay. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen are nice. The small deck and pool are great and private. Vacasa was very responsive to any concerns we had. We agree with previous reviews that the couch is quite uncomfortable but we just sat in the chairs instead. The only real negative and the reason for 4 stars is that the internet was out during our entire 5 week stay. Sometimes we could use the internet from the adjoining unit but it didn’t always work, and we ended up using our phone hotspots and incurring charges from Verizon as a result. We had a new modem delivered after 4 weeks but even though Vacasa sent someone over to install it right away, it never did work. Not quite sure why. Other than that, everything was great and we would stay there again. ##### Tracie K. The beach is an easy walk in one direction and the “quiet end” of Duval Street is an easy walk in the other direction. The unit is exactly as pictured, clean, and very well stocked. The kitchen is especially spacious for Key West and the outside space and pool were thoughtfully done. This property can easily accommodate an extended stay (we rented for a month): light, bright and plenty of space. ##### Miette T. I stayed here 2 months and loved every minute of it. The pool was perfect for cooling off after a workout or long walk or bicycle ride into town. Completely private surrounded by beautiful palm trees and high fences . I did not rent a car but only rented bicycles from Bike Man. The location was perfect for me in Old Town which is exactly where I wanted to be. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. There is a Cuban restaurant called el Syboney two doors down which I ate at at least twice a week. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and freshly renovated. The entire property looked like I was the first one who stayed there after renovations. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans which I used a lot. There must have been at least a dozen beach towels in the closet which was a big plus for me. Also full size washer and dryer. I've only been home for a week now but I already miss my little Palace in Paradise. ##### Chuck M. Great spot location wise- quiet street. 1\. Parking is tight! One car only in the driveway. You can park in front of the house if space is available. 2\. House is small space wise- sleeps 4 not 6 people. Sofa is NOT comfortable. Beds are hard- asked for a pillow top to put on top of the mattress. Also a row away when needed. 3\. Pool is very nice & a lovely atmosphere. Be prepared- pool maint. & landscaping show up in the backyard unannounced. They should knock on the front door to advise the guests. Suggested to Vacasa. 4\. No shelving in bedrooms- all in hallway in closets. Need shelving in bedrooms. 5\. Vacasa, the property management company answered the phone when I called, but overwhelmed with labor shortages & not receptive to requests in a timely fashion. Called 4 times and finally resolved my request. Overall we loved our stay! Great little house with all the basic needs. ##### Charlotte T.
