But in this pretty vacation rental condominium, By The Beautiful Sea, you can instantly gratify this need for sensational vistas from your own vacation rental terrace right across the street from the beach. Make your first order of the day to breathe in the fresh ocean breezes with a walk along the beach and fulfill the desire to dig those toes into warm white sand . . . for after all your front yard isKey West by the sea on the the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. Your \`back yard\` view is not bad either. The entrance for this property connects with a second level walkway of the building, and offers views of beautiful tropical park-like landscaping. A short stroll from the condominium through the landscaped setting, leads to the large free form swimming pool and Jacuzzi. A major decision each day could be whether to enjoy the sun at the beach or pool side. And when it\`s time to go dining, shopping, or enjoying the nightlife, Old Town is close by and an easy bike ride away. Ahhhh . . . life in paradise is good. The interior layout of this property was designed to maximize the opportunity to take in the ocean view from the living room and dining area, as well as the master bedroom. Sliding glass doors off the living room, lead to a private ocean view terrace. The kitchen adjoins the dining room through a pass through door, creating a floor plan that makes it easy for entertaining the family or a group of friends. The layout of the bedrooms is ideal for a family or three couples. You\`ll need to flip a coin for the enviable master suite that has the ocean view, plus a door that leads directly to the sea-side balcony. Furnishings are tropical elegant with a honey-colored wood-and-wicker king size bed and romantic free-standing grandfather clock to remind you that it\`s 5 o\`clock somewhere. Another nice feature of the master bedroom is a walk-in closet. Next to this closet, the master bath provides a long vanity with two sinks, tiled floor, and bath-tub with in-tub shower. The other two bedrooms and second bathroom, are on the opposite side of the condominium, down a short hallway, just off the great-room. Immediately off the hall to the right is a bedroom with two twin beds, which can be made up as a king size bed upon request. Nicely decorated with white cottage furnishings, there is also plenty of daylight that streams in through a nice size window. Directly at the end of the hallway is the third bedroom with king size bed. Handsome honey-colored wooden furnishings fill the room in nice contrast with the coral colored walls. A window on one wall invites in the natural light. The second full bathroom, with standing shower and glass door, is situated off the hallway, easily accessed by both the second and third bedrooms. This bathroom also conveniently houses the washer/dryer, a welcome feature for a beach house, where you can come in and drop your towels and wet bathing suits. A notable layout feature of this property is that it\`s an end unit in the condominium building, making it one of the more desirable locations in the complex as you only have neighbors on one side. It is located on the first floor, but elevated second level, since the covered parking is directly below. This design provides a wonderful view of the ocean, the perfect Key West by the sea experience. The entrance to the unit can be reached by stairs or elevator. There is designated covered parking, and the condominium complex is gated and secured with an electronic key entrance. This part of the island feels like a beach town neighborhood with light ocean breezes, and it\`s not unusual to see folks walking or biking on the bike path in their bathing suits with towel and cooler under arm. A paved biking and walking path stretches along the southern shore dotted with parks and food and water sport concessions making it easy and interesting to stroll or bike. There is a pre-Civil War Fort along the waterfront, West Martello near Higgs Beach that now houses the Key West Garden Club. Parking:Designated covered parking for one vehicle. We checked in on Saturday to find no wifi and no cable. Messaged the property management company immediately to get a response mid-day Monday because they “don’t work Saturday and Sunday”. Issues were still not fixed by checkout on Wednesday and was blamed on holiday week and island time. First line in the welcome flyer is not to ask for refunds or credit if wifi and cable don’t work. I’m presuming this is the normal for this unit. The management company did act promptly when the electronic door lock went dead. Thankful for that. I would say the unit is clearly a cash cow for the owners and with water damage, bubbling and peeling paint in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen that weren’t shown in the pictures I’d be hesitant to stay in this specific unit again. Beautiful view, easy parking, great walk to the beach but the unit and experience on our vacation left a lot to be desired. ##### Abby T. We didn’t watch a lot of TV, but then again there wasn’t a great variety. My biggest complaint was that the elevators weren’t working properly and we didn’t have a key for the staircase in order to get access to our unit when the elevator wasn’t working. Lovely beach just across the road. Very nice and warm pool. Beds were comfortable and condo is just as pictured. We didn’t really cook but kitchen appeared to be well stocked. Everything we wanted to see/do was approximately a 12 Uber/Lyft ride away and they were plentiful. We enjoyed the condo and the ocean view was extra nice! ##### Paula M. I texted the manger 53 minutes before 4:00, check in time, asked when they would send door code. We weren’t checking in early, but it’s comforting to know we have what we need to get in. She texted the code back and said, “it’s on the portal” she lied. It wasn’t. Then after our first night the internet and cable went out. I told her that night, and had no internet or cable the entire rest of our 6 days. We paid for it, but never had it, no refunds even though that is part of what we were paying for. The screen on the back door never functioned, I told her and she said, basically yep, it’s broken. She showed up without notice and when my husband came out, super inappropriately said, “I’m your replacement wife.” The day we left, the housekeeper knocked at exactly 10:00\. We paid over 1000/ night and the view wasn’t worth it. We could have rented 2 rooms at Ocean's edge resort for 1/3 less than what we paid. Condo had a great view, it was dated and there was a bunch of long black hairs on the towels and in the bathroom. Management was a hugeletdown. I would definitely not stay here twice. DO NOT COME IN BEFORE 4:00 AND DO NOT LEAVE AFTER 10:00!!!!. ##### Connie P. Also, I didn’t have any instruction to look for the deadbolt key in the little black box next to the front door. I had to call the after hours rental office because I never received the door combination. The condo was spotless. Right across from the beautiful beach. Just a short Uber ride to Duval st for bars and beaches. The only thing was we never received the code to the gate or the elevator, luckily we ran into the building manager and he gave us the code. Other than that, things were good. ##### Tracy O. About 12 minutes to Mallory square and downtown Duval street, across the street from Smathers beach and a mile down the road from excellent pier fishing. The room was on the second floor so we had a good view over the ocean as well. The only minor negatives were that maintenance had to come in a few times to look for a leak. It wasn’t affecting our unit but I am never a fan of strangers in the apartment while no one was there. That said, there were no issues and they were as quick as they could be. The sliding glass door was covered in a sheet of salt when we got there. Given the size of the cleaning fee I would have expected that to be wiped down prior to arrival. We cleaned it on Tuesday and it stayed clear through the rest of the week dramatically improving the view. There was also a loose floor tile in the kitchen due to some old water damage from the looks of it and we had a small ant problem in the kitchen that persisted even after the property was sprayed. Overall I would recommend staying here, the view was good, the location was what we wanted and the pool and hot tub were nice features. ##### Devin L. It took over an hour to get answers and that's only because one of our party was lucky enough to be at the manager's office when they walked out the door. She was able to get the codes so we finally had what we needed. They forgot to update their answering service on access which made it even more confusing. ##### Beth S. Parking a vehicle is easy, but it’s less than 5 min from the airport by car, so an easy Uber. It’s a little far from Old Town, so an Uber or rental golf cart/car or bikes would be needed to access that area easily. The pool area was nice and serene. ##### Marci G.
