We had never stayed in Key Largo before and found we liked it. The house is in a gated community so there is not a lot of traffic in and out. We enjoyed the pickleball courts and the peninsula that goes out into the water to watch sunrises and sunsets from. The house is 3 story but was not an issue for us. This property completely met our needs. Location was great. The balcony had a great view overlooking the lagoon. There was a resident iguana in the tree just off the balcony. That was pretty cool. We used the pool and checked out the beach area. Plenty of restaurants are nearby and the state park a couple of miles up the road was really nice and offered multiple amenities. The downside for us was the rather steep stairs and the room with the bunk beds geared more for kids. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable for us older folks (60ish). We do suggest creating a flyer/map of things to do at this location as well as restaurants and things to do in and around Key Largo. Our favorite places to dine was High Tide and Hobo’s!
