Filled with left over furniture and fittings, stained rugs, broken curtain hooks, and torn bedding plus an old mattress. All issues reported by previous customers last year in the guest book but nothing done. Had to move furniture to make second bedroom and lounge useable, as well as create room in kitchen cupboards for own provisions. Also the gate is missing from the garden, so not secure for a dog. The owners need to accept that owning a holiday home comes with a responsibility to provide a clean and useable property to give people the experience they have paid for. As stated by a previous holiday maker, I would be happy to be contacted, to give some positive suggestions for change. ##### Jenny W. This is a lovely cosy little base for whatever you want to do in the lakes. If it rains there are plenty of pubs cafes and restaurants within walking distance and if you turn left instead of the obvious right when going out of the door you are only 100 yards from Booths supermarket which is gorgeous, though pricey. Some may feel the loss of WiFi; take some DVDs with you then, a jigsaw, a decent book, and buy the papers. It's much better.
