Summary:  
Scar View is a cosy and modern one-bedroom holiday cottage nestled in the heart of the Cumbrian countryside. This tranquil rural escape offers all the modern comforts of a newly renovated home, with sprawling countryside views and a private hot tub for the ultimate indulgence. It's the perfect self-catering retreat for a romantic getaway or a peaceful break in the stunning Lake District.  
  
The Space:  
This beautiful and tranquil one-bedroom holiday cottage is the perfect romantic getaway for two. Your stay includes a super comfortable king-size bed, with all fresh linens and fluffy towels provided. The large, modern bathroom offers the benefit of both a walk-in power shower and a double-ended bath with a shower attachment, providing a true sanctuary.  
  
The home’s open-plan layout creates a welcoming and spacious feel. The living area is a cosy spot to relax, and the fully-equipped kitchen is stocked with all the essential implements for a home-cooked meal. Seating can be found at the breakfast bar or outside in the garden when enjoying a morning cup of tea.  
  
The highlight of this self-catering accommodation is the private hot tub. Located outside, it’s not fully enclosed but has an overhanging canopy and magical fairy lights, creating the perfect ambiance for an evening under the stars. The tub is thoroughly cleaned and treated between each stay for your peace of mind. This charming Cumbrian retreat is perfectly situated for exploring Lake Windermere and the wider Lake District.

Parking can be found on the house’s driveway.  
  
Check-in is self-check-in via a lock box, further details for this process are provided at booking confirmation.  
  
Those traveling with pets are welcome, please see ‘Other Things to Note’ for additional pet information.  
  
The garden property line is not ‘pet proof’ and all animals should be supervised when within the outdoor space.  
  
Guests have full access to the house, however, please be aware that use of the outdoor hot tub is only permitted for those who are over the age of 16.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
The Black Labrador is a quick 2-minute drive from Scar View and offer an excellent menu consisting of locally sourced produce that can be enjoyed by either dinning in or collecting from the pub.  
  
The iconic towns of Bowness and Windermere are found a 15-minute drive away, with the historic market town of Kendal found a slightly shorter 10-minutes away in the opposite direction.  
  
Getting Around:  
Oxenholme (Oxenholme Lake District) and Windermere Train Stations are the nearest train stations, located a short 15-minute drive away from Scar View. Reliable local taxies can pre arrange collection from either station to the house.  
  
While there are a number of reliable local taxi services available within the area, there are no nearby bus stops with the closest bus routes operating in either Windermere or Kendal respectively.
