Once inside you will find that the cottage is all on one level with wide doors helping access around the cottage. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you should need to cook up a feast. You will find yourself in the middle of the north of England’s most stunning scenery while staying at Drumlins Cottage. Just a short drive and you are at Lake Windermere in the Lake District National Park, or in the opposite direction is the unspoilt Eden Valley. Heading north you find yourself in Hadrian’s Wall country with many Roman sites to visit, or a little to the north east are the breathtaking Westmorland Dales, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We had a lovely weekend at drumlins. Friendly and cosy. Welcomed with tea, coffee, milk and brownies which after our there in the evening, drive went down a treat. Very clean and had everything you need. Depending on what you are going away for and what you want, it is in quite a secluded area with a few local shops and quiet pubs 10 min drive away. Lovely stay, very peaceful. For a one bedroom cottage it was exceedingly spacious and comfortable. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Although out in the country it was easy to get to many of the lakes and other places of interest and there are local walks which our two dogs really enjoyed. Kendal is only a 10 minute drive and the Asda Superstore less than that.
