The beds are comfy, we didnt need aircon, as there was always a breeze, only at night, the mosquitoes can be a little annoying outside, but all windows have mosquitoe nets.Lighting could have been a bit better in the second bathroom, but that is complaining on a high level. We loved hiking to celebrate the State Shipman Park, swam with turtles at the Shipment park ocean. Although we loved the privacy, we also enjoyed the local bar and Restaurant with local bands playing on weekends with delicious local foods. I would return to celebrate my anniversary. The kitchen was not well outfitted--as though someone made a list of utensils but had never cooked. Sep 25, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Incredible Ocean View We stayed on property for a hiking trip and house fully met our needs. It was fully equipped and supplied even with a bag of ice in freezer. The main reason we rented property is the incredible view of the ocean from the living/dinning room and back porch. House is just 50 feet from a cliff at the ocean front and seeing/hearing the waves crash into the cliff is mesmerizing. The main negative is no AC. House gets warm during day and windows need to be left open at night. While nights are relatively pleasant you need ear plugs to sleep do to outside bird chirping all night. We had problems with the coded door lock so used the emergency lock box key entire time. Property manager promptly gave us lock box code to access key. The house uses rain water system and recommends bringing your own bottled water. ##### Tom W. This home is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood and right on the ocean. It provides a wonderful, relaxing retreat that is not far from Hilo and other major big island attractions. The sea turtles and dolphins were the best surprise! We loved the view of the cliffs. Only drawback is no AC even with all the fans but they had so many items ready for a vacation outside, we didn’t mind too much. ##### Linh M.
