They were very friendly and helpful. The room condition was okay--it was basic accommodations for what we needed, although the shower never ran hot water (and only ran slightly lukewarm water when we asked how to get the hot water flowing). The location is great just a walk away from Thamel, so it's quiet but near a convenient location. It is also located in the local living area. You can interact with local people. The room facilities are basic but comfortable. The wifi is not strong on my floor. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They provided very good breakfast and dinner! Moreover, I needed to go to hospital because I was sick. The owner brought me to the hospital and accompanied me in the whole process. The hotel and room were very clean. The shower always had good pressure and hot water. The beds were nice, although maybe not the most comfortable. The food they serve on the rooftop terrace was very good and inexpensive. The best part about the hotel is the amazing hospitality of the staff. They helped us with everything we needed. The woman is the hardest worker I have ever seen trying to make sure it is clean. The entire family is kind. On the not so good.. the beds are east er n style so if you are a westerner be aware they are not soft! The room was fine otherwise, comparable to others in the area. The only other problem really is location. It is difficult to find and right next to a shrine to Ganesh. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city, in Thamel. If you stood into the balcony of your room, you would see balcony of another house at two arms' length, a very famous temple few feet away, a first-hand view of the spiritual world at the temple, children playing right there on the street few inches away...all in all an exhilarating view of life in Nepal right from your room. Above all this present building has many floors- roof top gives real nice view of other buildings/area from top. The second thing which I really liked about the hotel and the hosts being an alone traveller is their hospitality. Puja was nice, friendly and caring and made me (and other residents of the hotel) feel right at home. Puja served personalized food and tea with extra delicious homemade treats. After she placed my breakfast on the table on the roof top, she sat with me while I ate my breakfast, gave me company of someone like a sister/friend. Similarly, I remember chatting away with Puja, Dil and few more residents on the dinner table for almost two to three hours. The hosts are extremely warm and I can say that I received their time, attention and care. Puja and Dil are very helpful.
