We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the restaurant (but did not try other meals). Arranging a taxi to the airport was very smooth and the driver went out of his way to help. The staff were fabulous. They provided excellent care and service and went way beyond expectations to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. Similarly, the dining room is a bit of a barn but these are relatively small quibbles about a perfectly good hotel. The staff was extremely accommodating (except one night manager) when 3 of my children decided to spend the night with me. The breakfast was a delicious buffet. I was so pleasantly surprised since I have stayed in many different Kathmandu hotels. Had to send it back even though I was the only person in the restaurant. Breakfast was full of whole peppercorns for some reason. Local area was not good but I wasn't expecting it to be. Its fairly close to the airport 500 rupees in a taxi. Definitely wouldn't bother paying the 10 dollars for the airport transfer service!
