The interior of the house was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The kitchen has modern stainless steel appliances, ample space, and stocked with everything a guest would need (sans food, of course), the sofa, chairs, beds were comfortable. There's plenty of closet space and both bathrooms were nice sizes and fully stocked. The only thing that was kind of disappointing was the fact that the lake was low so there was no water under the wooden walkway and sitting area in the woods, but that's beyond the owner's control, ha ha. The property is also very close to lake, stores to purchase food and other supplies, the Caddo Lake State Park, companies offering lake tours and kayak/canoe rentals so that makes up for it. Johnson's Marina was recommended to us and the tour was wonderful with a very knowledgeable tour guide so we got to see plenty of lake. We did have to communicate with the owners regarding a small matter, which turned out to be nothing in the end, and they were incredibly responsive and helpful. Very nice people! The accommodations are comfortable and clean. The mattress was very comfortable and the AC worked perfectly. The only negative is the property is listed as Waterfront, but there was no water in sight. Reasonably, there is nothing that can be done except manage expectations of a waterfront property; in the listing it is mentioned that at certain times of the year, access to the dock is muddy, however, a better description would include that water levels are so low that there was no water to be seen, and for sure no fishing or kayaking from the property. Which, unfortunately for us, was the main goal of our trip. ##### Kim H.
