Hello David. I would like further information re the night watchman....how he was unpleasant! As owner, it is important for me to know in order to address this situation and his behaviour. Yes, the price is not normal, you received a 25' discount. Sorry about the car noise and also baby crying..... Amed is a fishing village accomodating locals as well as tourists.....a complete contrast. Expedia offers guests a real-time feedback facility to review accoms. If we had feedback while you were here, we could have offered you a room change further away from the noise.

great spot for snorkeling right on the hotel's beach. Unbeatable views on the ocean and Mt. Agung. pretty bougainvillea by the pool. scooter noise in front of the hotel in the day but not noticeable from the room and just the sound of waves at night.

Had a great stay with Amed Beach Villa, we were on the bottom floor (would have liked a top floor but they were booked) but it was a great little find. Great ac, nice to be able to jump into the water for a swim. Breakfast on front terrace overlooking the sea. yes please.

Very glad to have had a chance to stay at Amed Beach Villa in Amed. The accommodations were appealing and comfortable, right on the beach walking distance to dozens of restaurants and shops. Breakfast on the room's big open air patio and the view from the rooftop were among the highlights. The staff were all very attentive and genuinely caring, helping to arrange taxis and tours. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Amed.

This is a beautiful and peaceful villa on the beach. You can hear the waves from your room and the sunrises and sunsets are stunning, especially from the rooftop patio. You can snorkel about 10 meters straight from the beach. The staff is friendly and service oriented. They helped me find a sunset sail, a sunrise hike up Mt Batur, and other adventures. The owners happened to be present and they were generous in helping me solve an issue I was having. I loved the breakfast on the patio in front of my room and beside the pool. The main downsides were that the beach was more stony than sandy and like much of Indonesia the location was not pedestrian friendly. But I sat listening to the waves on the villa patio.

Disappointing stay
The overall experience with amed Beach Villa is not good. First there was problem with reservation as the room was stated as mountain view, while we are given a concern room with staircase view. The room seems to be not been stay for long time and the kettle is full of dust and dirty. And we ask for a change of kettle and end up it was washed and return back to us still in bad condition. With this kind of room condition, we requested to change room and was asked to top up for the pool view room. With no choice we top up so as to change room. With the change of the room, we thought it is going to something good. End up the shower system doesn't seem that good also. The water is like drizzling with water and it is difficult to wash off soap as the water is too small. And the shower heater is not working some time. And we ask for a check on it and it is still having problem for the next few days and we shower with cold water. The overall cleaniess is not properly take care of also. The overall service is really disappointing.

The location is amazing! You can snorkel from shore right in front of the villa. And the villa provides complimentary snorkelling gear. The rooms are lovely and the views from each unit spectacular. The staff are exceptionally attentive and gracious.

We have just returned from a wonderful week long stay at Amed Beach Villas. This lovely beachside accommodation was everything we wanted ... very comfortable room, amazing views, convenient to dining, reliable Wi-Fi. It was really wonderful to be able to snorkel directly in front of the villa and then relax afterwards in the beautiful pool. The staff at the hotel were always available and happy to provide any amenities requested. We were especially fortunate to be there when the owner David was onsite as he was great fun to chat with and went out of his way to sort out (and collect) some medications for us. During our stay we went out twice with the villa driver ... a half day trip to visit the Lempuyang temple and Tirta Gangga water palace and another longer road trip to Ubud. He was eager to share his stories of the area and provided many opportunities for photographing the wonderful panoramic countryside views. Thank you so very much Amed Beach Villas ... we hope to visit again one day.

Love this amazing place!
From the moment we checked in to Amed Beach Villa, we felt at peace. The staff are wonderful - friendly, helpful, genuine. The room was beautifully appointed, spacious and THAT VIEW! The breakfasts - brought to your balcony - were delicious and filling. Although the beach is not a lovely white-sand beauty, the snorkelling right out the front makes up for it - amazing! There was only one small thing that could be improved on - the water pressure is almost non-existent. But our love for the place made it bearable! I could not recommend Amed Beach Villa enough (although I kind of want to keep it to ourselves!). The wonderful staff really are the cherry on top. We will return!!

What a Slice of Paradise.
Love this place! Just be aware that the corner twin room called Panorama 3, does not actually have a panoramic view. However the other 4 rooms are fantastic and we plan to come back and experience lovely Amed from one of the better rooms very soon. Wonderful people, excellent area, and great property.

Good boutique hotel
In a central area of Amed so you can walk to town lots of restaurants or to the bay for more restaurants and snorkeling there. Snorkelling in front of the hotel is outstanding. Enter in front of the hotel you can go out and turn right huge coral area. Beautiful furniture and art. Bottom rooms have not much privacy so if that's important to you stick to the upstairs also don't have a fridge or a kettle which at this price point seems not right. Lots of channels on the TV which is nice. TV in weird spot I don't know why they don't mount them lower. Nice beach towels. Bathrooms gorgeous. Mattresses are OK but pillows need improving desperately. Accent pillows are great but sleeping pillows are terrible. Some noise from the street and the ocean room also gets noise from the restaurant next door until about 9pm so if you like to have a quiet early evening pick another room. Very nice ascetic, pool is small but gets deep I liked it. So clean and they invested a lot in beautiful furniture and art. There is a rooftop deck that is outstanding great views and at night go up to look at the stars.

Our central location between Amed and Jemeluk is great for restos, the main ones within an easy walk, snorkeling and diving opportunities and local village life. I do agree with you on the TV locations.....they are a bit high, so will look into lowering without exposing ugly cabling....... to be just above window/doorway. It is very hard to have pillows to suit all guests, ours range from latex to polyester,I hope you may have mentioned this to our staff to make a change. But will get some more variety as backup. While Fridge/tea coffee facilities are not available on the ground floor, one of the villa fridges is available for guest use and tea or coffee free on request. But these facilities will become available soon. My wife and I are currently in Panorama 2, the room Nyoman upgraded you to.....but our favourite is your first choice....Beach Room, which becomes vacant today. We have blocked it for the rest of our stay. But Panorama 1 and 2 are our best rooms for facilities and views. Again, thanks for your detailed review, hope you had a nice stay in Lipah and will enjoy Ubud. .

Amazing gem of a place in Amed
This is an amazing gem in paradise. Amed is a slower pace and less busy than others places we visited in Bali. We loved it. Wish we had stayed there our whole time in Bali. The owners are great people. The room, villa and pool are beautiful and impeccably clean, the service by the Balinese staff is kind and complete, the view beyond words. Had a great massage right at the villa for very cheap. Breakfast was cooked by the staff, fresh at our request and was very good. Those Balinese pancakes are so yummy!!!! Will come here again if ever in Amed. Only recommendations are 4 pillows in rooms instead of 2, little better snorkeling equipment, and option for beach chairs for the beach. These were small inconveniences compared to our amazing stay!!!! Thanks for making our stay in Amed so great!!!!

I was upgraded as I sold the other room to friends last minute. Very pleasant helpful staff arranged transportation and meals when required. Nice comfortable villa, great spacious rooms incredible views & location but will require access to transport we hired bikes through the front desk. Had to get up at the crack of dawn for early morning dive and they arrived at the hotel early to prepare us breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Amed is a great place for diving...even directly from in front of the villa......and the shipwrecks. Early morning dives are very popular as are our balcony views......sunrise. Virkelig en perle
Det er virkelig et lækkert sted, hvor personalet vil gøre hvad som helst for at gøre dit ophold så godt som muligt. Vi ville gerne forlænge vores ophold og dette var der absolut ingen problemer i. Stedet ligger helt ud til vandet, hvor der er super gode steder hvis man ønsker at snorkle. Naboen til venstre er Agung og det er en fantastisk udsigt.
