Innenstadt und Hafen sind schnell zu erreichen, nur die Supermärkte sind etwas außerhalb (mit dem Auto kein Problem). Die Tiefgarage ist zumindest für einen großen Wagen mit schlechtem Wendekreis (z.B. dem VW T-ROC) etwas "fummelig", aber wir fanden draußen am Bahnhofsweg immer einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Nur ein Paar Schritte von der Hebebrücke Kappeln entfernt. Alle Geschäfte d. täglichen Bedarfs, Restaurants bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir hatten das Glück, dass täglich andere Traditionssegler (2- und 3-Master) vor unserem Wohnzimmer festgemacht haben - fantastisch! Auch der Museumsbahnhof lag zu unseren Füßen. Wer nächtliche Stille sucht könnte sich vom Autoverkehr, der die Brücke bis spät nachts passiert, gestört fühlen. ÖPNV an der Schlei sehr bescheiden, Auto bzw. Fahrrad für die Erkundung der Umgebung fast unerlässlich. Parkmöglichkeit für beides in TG. Tipp für Naturfans: Geltinger Birk, Geltinger Bucht mit Leuchtturm Falshöft sowie der Weidefelder Strand (strandmöbelfrei). ##### Claudia T.
