The office where you pick up the keys is literally 5 minutes from the airport. They handed me an envelope with the keys and detailed instructions about parking and other important information. When we arrived at the condo, we were greeted with thoughtful touches, like a reusable shopping bag and locally made Kauai cookies and coffee, which I thought was a very nice gesture. The house was very clean. It felt a little warm initially because all the windows were closed, but once we opened them, the airflow cooled down the space. There are also several fans in the room that you can use, but on some days, I actually felt chilly. The view is spectacular, especially the sunrises, as the condo is located on the east side. The house is very well-equipped, including a fully stocked kitchen. We also found beach chairs and a cooler that you can take to the beach. The area is very quiet and in a great location, whether you want to explore the north or head to the west side of the island. Additionally, the host was very kind and allowed us to stay in the property until the evening on our check-out day for a very reasonable price, as our flight didn’t leave until 10:30 PM and they didn’t have any reservations for the following day. ##### Mabel L. The view of Wailua Bay is spectacular. The bedroom of this unit remained well lit at night from lighting outside the unit. Also, conversations at the pool, made it difficult to rest/sleep. We have had the opportunity to stay in several units at Wailua Bay View over the years, and found this unit less desirable. ##### Sondra S. The view from the Lanai was great as well as the location. Several good restaurants you can walk to. Our stay was okay just used it to sleep at night and sip coffee on the Lanai in the mornings. There is no Air Conditioning, but every other condo has one but ours, so we had to open all windows to try and let cool air in. The condo stayed warm and humid with no wind going through the condo. The check in process is inconvenient we had to go to an office in Lihue to grab the keys and then go back to drop it off 10min away. Every other condo had a combo lock. Over all it was convinient enough to stay in but I would not stay here again. ##### Paolo M. The pool, the view from the balcony (amazing) the sound of the wave. We had everything we need to feel like home (for cooking and laundry) The only downside is the bedroom window is located beside the sidewalk of the condo.. when people are walking it felt like they were in the room with us. But it didn’t bothered us that much because during the night the environment was really quiet. We highly recommand! ##### Martine L. It, however needs major updating as the decor, lighting and appliances, and bathroom fixtures were from the ‘70s. The view of the ocean is beautiful and the condo was relatively quiet and private. We were supplied with beach equipment, cooler and snorkel gear. Note however, there is no beach access from the condo but a short walk north will give you access to a narrow beach.
