The room was big and spacious. Even though there is no lift to the 3rd level (highest level) but it was a short climb. The entrance location is in a small lane so there will not be much noise from the main road. Good Air conditioning and fan. Bed was comfortable but the pillows were terrible. Pillows are a personal preference but they gave me a stiff neck. And no combination of the 4 pillows was comfortable. Would have preferred if the bathroom was not a wet bathroom. Easily solvable with installing a shower curtain as the bathroom had a bathtub. Also, the sound proofing was sorely lacking. Being right next to the reception area that was open for a few hours still wasn't the best, especially when ill. Cleaning services should be provided or offered for a fee, especially for a longer stay like 6 days. Just a washing machine. No drying facilities. Was expected to hang wet clothes in the room and bathroom. We were initially hesitant about booking a small B&B-style place in Taiwan, especially concerning the check-in process. But our worries were unfounded! The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, offering great personal recommendations for sightseeing. While the accommodations were basic, we chose this place for its location and price, and it didn't disappoint. Just a 5-minute walk to the subway station made exploring Kaohsiung a breeze. We could have even walked to major attractions if we wanted to. The rooms were simple but comfortable, providing everything we needed for our stay. The hotel's proximity to Pier-2 Art Center and Love River was a bonus. If you are looking for a great value in a prime location, EZSTAY Yancheng Branch is hard to beat.
