Summary: Kona Wa'a Paradise Getaway is nestled in a beautiful, sought-after residential neighborhood, offering breathtaking ocean and lanai views stretching from Kona town to Keauhou. The Space: We provide 2 beach chairs 1 cooler for guest use. Please note that the unit does not have air conditioning. However, the high ceilings and jalousie windows ensure excellent airflow to keep things comfortable. The maximum occupancy is strictly regulated in accordance with local ordinances. The Space From the moment you enter, this home is designed to welcome you with open arms, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces to make the most of the ocean breeze and stunning surroundings. The open-concept layout encourages natural airflow, while the spacious lanai provides the perfect spot to relax, overlooking the pool, perfect for a refreshing swim or simply soaking in the beauty of your surroundings. The View The ocean view is truly stunning. From the lanai, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the sparkling blue Pacific Ocean and the beautiful coastline. Whether it's sunrise or sunset, the view offers a peaceful and calming atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to relax and take in the natural beauty. Upstairs On the upper level, you'll find a full kitchen with three inviting bedrooms with open ceilings, enhancing the sense of space and airiness. The first bedroom, with its own private entrance, is furnished with two twin beds and shares no attached bathroom but has convenient access to a washer/dryer. The primary bedroom features a king bed, a full ensuite bathroom, and its own private entrance. Between these two bedrooms, there's a handy powder room. The third bedroom, near the lanai stairs, is furnished with a queen bed, a private entrance, but no bathroom. Downstairs The lower level offers two more spacious bedrooms, each with a king bed, a full bathroom, and a private entrance for added privacy. There’s also a full kitchen and a washer/dryer conveniently located in the closet. Important Notes: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property, on the premises, or in any nearby common areas. Any violations will result in a $500 fine, along with any additional cleaning or repair costs. Sunscreen sprays are not permitted due to damaging effects on surfaces, but sunscreen lotions are allowed. Additional Information: The home will be stocked with a starter set of soaps and paper products. We had two families and there was plenty of space for all of us. Despite no air conditioning we were quite comfortable at night and the fans kept good air flow both at night and during the day with screened doors open throughout. Wonderful neighborhood, great for walking and easy access to Kona. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the kitchen each night. It is true: walls do not reach the ceiling in the main house. The "en suite" master bath really means that bed and bathroom are really just one room. It definitely shows signs of aging and could use some new appliances. But-- there are actually 3 full baths and 2 half baths (despite descriptions to the contrary). The view is to die for. The location is great if you’re renting a car (which we did). Super easy to get dt and to other areas on the island as you can quickly hop on the highway. The checkin process is super easy and the house is nice if your bringing a little one as all of the stairs to access the bottom floor and pool are outside so there is no danger to the little one if everyone keeps the doors closed. The kitchen is well stocked and the company running the property was prompt when answering any of my questions. A couple of things to note. The home does show noticeable age in some areas which you don’t see in the photos (not a big deal to us but something to note). It’s hard to understand but all of the rooms on the top floor share one ceiling so you can see lights and hear noise from all of the other rooms (something to be aware of depending on the group). The cleanliness is an area I wanted to mention. There was mold on the fridge water/ice dispenser, old water bottles under beds, and our towels smelt like they weren’t washed before we arrived. I think this is an opportunity for improvement for the future. Overall we all did have a lovely stay! ##### Jenna S. With two young kids the pool was perfect, and all the extra rooms, including the ones upstairs and parking on the second floor made it easy for the grandmas to get to their rooms. The layout is a little odd. The listing says only two bathrooms but there is one full bath in the master upstairs, a half bath upstairs, and then two en suites downstairs. There is also two additional bedrooms upstairs. The only issue we had is the listing didn’t say no air conditioning so we assumed it did, which it didn’t. And when brought to the owners attention nothing was really done about it except telling us to use the dans, which we did and made it work. But it was still super hot. Also the ceilings aren’t enclosed above the bedrooms/living room upstairs, just an fyi. But thank you so much for your beautiful home and the adventure we got to endure while visiting Kona. ##### Alexis C. This was our second stay in as many years and unfortunately, no maintenance or care has been given to this beautiful property. Our bed downstairs was missing a pillowcase, bath towels were worn, stained and only one per guest, and no bath mats were provided for any of the bathrooms downstairs, necessitating the sacrifice of one bath towel. There were no cleaning supplies to help us keep counters clean and there was a significant ant problem. The kitchen needs to be restocked with plates, glassware, and kitchen gadgets for eight to ten people to cook meals here. There was one small cutting board and one cookie sheet. We had to run the dishwasher every day to have glasses, plates, and silverware for the next day. We informed Grand Welcome of these issues on our second full day of the rental and they assured us they would have their onsite team drop these items off. They arrived on our last day on the island. We are sad to say that while the location and views/pool are terrific, enough to overlook the strange layout of the house that offers no privacy to those staying in the primary bedroom, the house badly needs some love and care for the price they are charging. The place us huge, and the pool is awesome. Management team was very responsive, and we were able to get a late checkout which helped us out a lot! The stove top is quirky and is either too hot or shuts off. Oven heats quickly. The washers and dryers were a huge help. Kids loved the pool. We have a wonderful time. ##### Cece M. This was the perfect house for our group (8 women/girls trip). We loved the incredible and expansive view and large lanai/pill deck area. We spent most of our time on lanai enjoy the view and sharing laughs. The kitchen is large and well equipped. We cooked almost every meal at the house and loved the expansive kitchen and fabulous organization (label maker is this owners friend). This place is definitely funky and may not work for some parties/families. Please note that the three bedrooms on the main living area do not have walls that go to the ceiling. So if your inside, sound is basically in their bedrooms. for families with small children those bedrooms may be challenging. For us it didn’t really matter and like I said we spent most of our time on the lanai. The house is in a wonderful neighborhood and we took a vantage of daily walks and nearby trail. ##### Ann L. The rooms are spacious and in good condition, but the property in general is worn compared to what is presented in the photos on the VRBO website. The outdoor spaces were not cleaned well, so increased the amount of dirt brought into the house on bare feet (I had to sweep the outside stairs to reduce this). There was road construction in front of the house and a power outage the week we were renting, but we were not informed beforehand. We could not stay at the property during the day due to the noise and diesel fumes. The cleaning fee is very high, but there is also a long list of chores to be completed before checking out, so it is unclear what the cleaning fee is for. The pool is very cold, and although it has a heater, we were told by property management not to turn it on. Property management was also relative unresponsive after the first inquiry. Neighbor has two little dogs that bark constantly. ##### Adam L. ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Lara A. 18 avr. 2021 Points forts : Propreté #### Fabulous Hawaii vacation house Two families with 6 kids ranging in ages from 6 - 16, stayed here for 10 magical days. The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood close to Kona, beaches and excursions. The house is very well appointed. In the kitchen and bathrooms. The showstopper is the view. Sipping cocktails by the pool, watching the kids splash in the pool while the sun painted the sky in spectacular colors as it set, was the highlight of every day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. A few things to note. The walls of the main floor do not reach the ceiling, making for a lack of privacy for those using the master bedroom/bathroom. Being close friends, this did not impact our stay at all. Also, three of the bedrooms are not accessible from the main living space, but rather from the large upstairs veranda or taking the outdoor stairs down to the pool level. Again, this worked well for our group especially since the two downstairs rooms had their own bathrooms. There is a convenient half bath and outdoor shower by the pool as well. Overall, this was a terrific stay and we were super sad to leave. Thank you! ##### Lara A. Inquire about the room arrangement and bathrooms before booking depending on whether you have small children or multiple families. The downstairs two bedrooms might not be ideal for young children because they are separate from the main house and can only be accessed by going outside and down the side stairs. The same applies to a third bedroom on the upper level. In the main house there is the master and a bedroom with twins. The kitchen is huge and fully stocked. The pool heater was broken on our trip so unfortunately we couldn’t all use the pool because it was very cold but normally you can request the heater to be turned on for an additional daily fee. We still loved our time there and the management was very helpful and responsive. We would love to return! ##### Tiia N.
