Note the check in details from Expedia are not quite correct. check-in is 2-6pm and reception reopens at 2. Expedia says reception is only open until 10am. The email I received the night before from the property regarding check in went to junk mail. "

"Very clean and tidy room and facilities. Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure. Allocated parking but ours was a bit tight for a larger vehicle. On a busy road but don't hear any traffic noise. Lovely outlook."

"The place was great! Maybe not for everyone but perfect for anyone with kids or just looking for something a little different. We are seniors but have done a lot of camping and this was glamping at its best. We picked the yurt which had an outdoor kitchen and an external bathroom. Everything felt really authentic yet still very modern. It all was just there as one would expect from a nice hotel but presented in a different way. Kind of a cowboy camp or depression era type of a kitchen outside but with a gas bbq and cook stove and hot running water. Really enjoyed it. The other sites looked like interesting places to stay too. Our bathroom was as perfect as any and yet different. If coming from the south be careful with Apple app directions as it took us to where the road crosses a river only suitable for a 4x4. But from Kaikōura it was easy to get to just off the highway."
