Located amongst a Superior Turtle Bay Resort and centrally located along t he World-Famous North Shore of Oahu, the possibilities and activities are limitless. The Kuilima Estates Condos are encircled by the Fazio and Palmer Golf Courses. The lanai's peaceful view of the 3rd and 4th fairway and Koolau Mountains is the perfect spot for a break from the busy vacation, whether early morning, midday or evening. The cooling trade winds and crossing sun pattern provide that perfect break. You can also see the National Historic Site - Opana on the mountain ridge. If your lucky you may see a brilliant orange sunrise, trade wind shower with double rainbow, or a full moon rise. Da Koa Bar, a family heirloom handcrafted in late 70's at an Army recreational woodshop, it is made from the exotic Koa Tree, only found in Hawaii on specific islands and elevations. The "curly" grain pattern is the most desirable. The same wood found in Iolani Palace, reserved for the Royalty. This condo is now your little Kingdom to enjoy. The unit makes a great family stay with children as well. The loft gives children their own perfect little spot to hang and imagine. Currently the Fazio golf course is closed but maintained, and it is not unusual to see kids (and parents) running or playing with a soccer ball, football, Frisbee, on this very large and inviting lawn. The beach equipment provided was very helpful for our days by the ocean. The bed and toddler crib were comfortable, making it easy for our little one to rest well.However, the apartment did have some downsides. We encountered bugs like cockroaches and lizards inside, which was a bit unsettling. Also, there is no air conditioning (as listed), so it got quite hot indoors at times.Overall, this place is a good option for those seeking tranquility and proximity to Turtle Bay’s natural beauty, but be prepared for some insect visitors and warm temperatures without AC. ##### Kavya I. The screen door on the slider fell off every time when trying to open or close it. There were a lot of bugs inside, including beetles, flies, and lots of other small bugs. There was also a cockroach in the bathroom one night, and it quickly scurried under the washer and dryer. There was mold (and looked like black mold) on the living room and bedroom curtains. The bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned prior to our arrival and we used cleaning wipes that were very dirty after a few brief swipes. There was also a cutting board that was moldy with small bugs crawling on it. After sharing this feedback with the host, the response was, “thank you for the feedback and information. It’s much appreciated.” I’ll also note that we were aware there was no AC and were okay when booking it, but it was very uncomfortable even with all fans on high. ##### Brandon B. The quick walk to the beach and Turtle Bay Stables was perfect for our young children. The condo is setup with beach and sports gear that was great (boogie board, beach umbrella and sand toys!) It was a great location. There was plenty of room for our family of 6\. It was a ten minute walk to the beach and walking trails which was amazing and a close drive to many other fun things. Our kids loved getting to walk to the stables. I would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Oahu. ##### Tiffany B.
