OCEANFRONT WEST MAUI LOCATION. Come stay in our luxurious 3rd FLOOR, WRAP-AROUND CORNER OCEANFRONT condo, and you will never want to leave! It is very spacious, with 1400 sq ft inside, consisting of 2 bdrm 2.5 bath and is fully furnished with TWO Faily new AC UNITS. The condo is located right on world-famous Kahana Bay, a 5 min drive from either Kaanapali Beach or Kapalua Bay and just south of Napili. The condo boasts a fabulous 40 foot WRAP AROUND LANAI which is accessible from the living room/dining room and master bedroom. This provides a 270 deg view of the islands of Molokai & Lanai, also overlooking the pool area. The oceanis so close you can literally throw a stone into the water from the deck. This location is ideal for whale watching (in season) or observing the turtle activity in the shallow waters. It is not on the windy/shaded side of the building. It also has unobstructed views, so you are not staring at another building, just beautiful water, islands, and unbelievable sunsets and rainbows. Our remodeled condo has new cabinets, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, lighting, and fixtures in the kitchen & all 3 baths, plus tile floors. Master bath shower has large tiles, including a seat inside the shower! For TV & movies, a 65" FLAT-SCREEN in living room, and also a 60" flat screen TV in the master bdrm, with Blu-ray. Also a 50" flat screen TV in the guest room. The vinyl flooring is new throughout the condo, and a lovely new couch has been delivered. We have new drapes with liners and the windows have just been tinted to cut out the glare from the afternoon sun. This also keeps the heat out so the AC will run more efficiently. The Royal Kahana Resort is located on the beautiful West Coast of Maui in Kahana Bay, and is surrounded by Maui's spectacular natural beauty. The lobby has been completely remodeled, with an on-sight CONCIERGE DESK located in the large sitting area, enabling you to book all your fun activities! Lounge on our grassy front lawn with plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing or poolside. BBQ poolside ( 5 BBQ's available, first come first served). Whale watching from the lanai (in season). Our unit is an excellent choice for families or couples wanting a comfortable unit with great views and amenities, and most importantly value. No expensive daily resort fees or parking fees added. A much more pleasant option than staying in a hotel. Just steps away awaits an ocean of recreation. With our PRIME-LOCATION, the Royal Kahana offers swimming, snorkeling, surfing and paddle boarding in the sparkling Pacific Waters that splash its shoreline. You can swim in the heated pool or sun yourself on the deck or on the lawn fronting the building. NOTE: Direct beach access from our property is sometimes limited due to environmental conditions out of our control, and may change without notice. When closed, access is available just a short walk from our property. It is suggested that guests call the Royal Kahana Resort for up-to-date shoreline conditions. We have a newly re-decorated HEALTH/FITNESS ROOM, ping pong, shuffleboard and a beachfront pool that has also just been renovated. Imagine a beautiful beach front location that has NO RESORT FEES. We also offer FREE SECURE WI-FI in our own unit as well and free Wi-Fi in the lobby and pool areas. There is a nominal parking fee of $18.00 per vehicle per night. We enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the deck and seeing turtles and seals. The condo has all you need for your stay. We loved that we had boogie boards, snorkels, and chairs. We cooked an entire Christmas in the condo that is stocked with most everything you need. Close by to a few great restaurants and fast food for our teens. Walkable to a beach on the shoreline. I had a bad vibe when they messaged me to pay the 2nd and final installment even before the due date. The tone was, as if I have missed the payment. But as this was the first communication, I let that go. Form there on even when I was in the property, communication was not great. It never felt welcoming. Some of the amenities in the property was not working as expected. The listing image is misleading. The listing image shows that there is a beach (small) next to the property. But when I reached there, I did not see the beach, it only had the shore, when I asked about it, they told me, during winter it washes out. ##### Avinash J. We have nothing but positive things to say about this vacation rental. Check in was easy, (aside from me inadvertently deleting our welcome packet)! Though we had to pay, parking was never an issue. The condo was very clean, nicely stocked with kitchenware and beach accessories as well. Our mattresses, pillows and sheets were very comfortable. For us, the location was perfect. But the best part of this unit is the huge lanai with the breathtaking views and sounds of the ocean! We enjoyed our morning coffee watching and listening to the birds in the Palm trees and spotting the sea turtles coming up to the surface for air. There is nothing like falling asleep and waking up to an ocean breeze and the sounds of crashing waves! Air conditioning is available if needed. The pool is heated and we cooked on the available grills to make a few delicious dinners! We all agree, we will stay here again when we return. ##### Gina V. Like in many other reviews, the building and condo are older, we knew that going in. it could use a new coat of paint and a refresh for some of the furniture. My daughter complained that her bed was super squeaky and would wake her up. The air conditioning didn’t work all that well, it is not central air. It struggled to keep up and the temps were high 70s and lower 80s. Pool was basic, but nice. Beach was a little bit of a disappointment because it’s sandbagged which took away from the beauty of the beach views IMO. Balcony was a wrap around which was great for looking out at the ocean, but you really couldn’t keep the windows open at night because the air conditioning would get overloaded. Also there are many windows in the condo so you really had to make sure curtains were pulled to manage the heat in the afternoon. The beach access is the next building over. So you would need to carry supplies about 50-100 yards or so, not that big of a deal, but something to consider.. Kitchen was well appointed, Communication with owner was good, had an issue checking in and she was quick to respond. Location overall was good, there’s a few restaurants, dive shop, convenience store, liquor store, and coffee shop all with walking distance which was great.Quick drive to Kaanapali beach and Blackrock. This is not luxury or the 4 Seasons, but it was a large unit with plenty of room for the 4 of us. ##### Julie S. The view was facing westward towards Lanai and Molokai, so sunsets were especially nice. Lots of outdoor seating on the balcony. Although it is oceanfront, the beach was small at the property and there were large sand bags to prevent erosion (we were aware of this before booking). To get to a larger beach you could walk down the road or take a short car ride. This was not a big deal to us, but easier beach access might be important to some. The pool area was nice, with an area to barbecue. The condo was comfortably furnished, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was a nice welcome basket. The owner was responsive and gracious. Parking was easy. There are a few restaurants and basic shopping within walking distance. It is a very easy drive to popular areas such as Kaanapali, Kapalua, and Lahaina. ##### Brian S. Recent updates are noticeable and appreciated. The layout was perfect and the views were some of the best we've had in several trips to Maui. The unit truly is oceanfront with a wrap-around deck. The kitchen is a small galley style but fully functional. There is a small dining table and a large common area with lots of seating. The bedrooms worked well for 2 couples (we had the twins arranged as a king in the 2nd bdrm and it was quite comfortable).There was no beach in front of the condo (there were large sandbags to prevent erosion) but there is a nice beach within a couple minutes walk. We visited in January so there was a lot of whale activity to watch and several sea turtles swimming below the balcony. We spent a lot of time in the mornings and evenings enjoying watching the whale and turtle activity from the balcony.The condo complex doesn't have a lot of amenities you might find at a resort but there are restaurants and bars within a close walk. The owners did have a couple boogie boards and 4 beach chairs that we took advantage of. There is also a activities concierge downstairs in the lobby (we booked an awesome snorkeling trip to Molokini with Four Winds). Whalers General Store across the street had most of the essentials at surprisingly reasonable prices. For more variety you can drive to Safeway in north Lahaina or further afield is Walmart and Costco in Kahului near the airport (a good place to stock-up after leaving the airport). ##### Charles B.
